Session Notes from March Meeting:
RPC session meetings are currently being moderated by Rev. Dr. Donald Hogg, Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth. The members of the session appreciate his help during our time without a moderator, and appreciate Rev. David Fletcher, who is also attending session meetings.
Representatives from the Grace Presbytery Committee on Preparation for Ministry Training provided training to the session with regards to our role during the phases of Inquiry and Candidacy for Emily Everts.
The Mission Study Group is in the process of revising the initial Mission Study document that has been submitted to the Grace Presbytery Committee on Ministry. The Mission Study is a document that has to be prepared and approved by the COM before we can elect a Pastor Nominating Committee.
The Relocation Central Commission reported that the contractor has asked for bids on the Southwest Boulevard remodeling project.
Elder training has begun for our Elders-Elect. Training should conclude in May, with ordination and installation in June.
The RPC office hours have changed. The office will be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A third child care worker has been hired to help with the church nursery as needed.
There will be two deliveries of Easter lilies this year. Lilies for homebound members will arrive early, so that they may be delivered the week before Easter.
The Fellowship Team will host a 9:00 a.m. breakfast on Easter Sunday.
The April session meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 16th at 7:00 p.m., due to the Maundy Thursday service on April 18th.

Relocation Central Commission April Update
I’d like to commend our Design Team part of
the RCC made up of Will Stallworth, John Godwin,
Michael Birdwell, and Gordon Ramsey. They have
spent many hours verifying that plans match up to
what we want. Tedious but necessary work. The
contractor has sent out for bids, and we’re waiting
to hear back to know exactly what the cost of the
build will be. Hopefully, we’ll have specifics for the
congregation in May.
Marsha R. West for the RCC
Kathy Bales' broken leg bones continue to heal while she is in a rehabilitation center. Kathy has expressed appreciation to those who have come to visit her, and she says she misses her friends at RPC.
RPC continues to collect BoxTops for Education vouchers to donate to M. L. Phillips Elementary School. General Mills donates 10 cents to the school for each Box-Top submitted. During the past 10 years, RPC has donated over $800 worth of BoxTops to Fort Worth ISD schools. Place your BoxTops in the container located in the Fellowship Hall, or send them to RPC using this ad-dress: Ridglea Presbyterian Church, PO Box 26989, Benbrook TX 76126.

9 ‘CHANGE”
WOMEN’S RETREAT—GRANBURY, MARCH 2019

APRIL, 2019 Our February meeting gave us an opportunity to learn more about the “Daughters of Abraham”. Genie Long, our friend from the choir, brought two of her friends from this organization. Originally started to break down the walk of ignorance, these ladies, Jews, Christians, and Muslims met to share their tradi-tions, holidays and celebrations. Not only has a deeper understanding grown, but a genuine love for each other. They find themselves reaching out to others in need. A few weeks later during a cold, sometimes rainy weekend, about 39 women of Ridglea headed to Granbury for a retreat whose theme was “change”. Reverend Lynda Dinsdale guided us ever so lovingly as we explored this topic based on scripture, Ecclesiastes 3:1-9. Feared, disliked by humans, seasons of change, seem to be God’s way of helping (sometimes forcing) us to grow! We wrestled with questions like: “How can we accept change? And How can we meet the challenge to stay strong?” In small groups, and all together, we encour-aged each other to look for possibilities and be open to God’s blessings! Comments heard during and after the worship: I’m glad I went “Spot on” dynamic speaker God was with us Flexibility in scheduling made all the difference This was fun! Thanks to the committee. Many hours of planning made a wonderful opportunity for us all. Circles are meeting in April: Circle One April 9 Linda Wilson’s Home 10:00 a.m. Circle Two April 9 Church 10:00 a.m. Circle Three April 2 Lilia Briseno’s Home 6:30 p.m. General Meeting April 23 Church 10:00 a.m. Speaker from Beautiful Feet Ministries and celebrate Birthday Offering Just Bring It for April - We will be helping the Ronald McDonald House. They need paper goods: plates, bowls, cups, utensils, paper towels, and toilet paper.
