SMARTChief

SMARTChief® is a fully scalable screen based alarm and control system with a range of design and operational

benefits, based on Spider™ and STI™ technology. It displays an extensive overview of the vessels functions

including AMS, Pump Control, Valve Control, Tank Sounding, PMS control, CCTV, Fire alarm and other seamless

integrations subject to the vessels configuration.

Monitoring & Logging is a standard integrated part of the SMARTChief® II, but may also be supplied as a stand

alone system. By logging all measurements and alarms for a period of 12 months, the stored data gives a unique

basis for investigation of unwanted incidents, as well as statistical data for improving the vessel fuel economy.

Ballast Control & Monitoring is an integrated part of the SMARTChief® II, but may also be supplied as a stand

alone system. This gives full tank level measurements based on the tank ullage tables, also including auto density,

tank pressure and temperature. Using measuring principles like pressure transmitters, air purge or radar, including

complete sensor arrangements.

Cargo Control & Monitoring is an integrated part of the SMARTChief® II, but may also be supplied as a stand

alone system. This gives full tank level measurements based on the tank ullage tables, also including auto density,

tank pressure and temperature. Using measuring principles like pressure transmitters, air purge or radar, including

complete sensor arrangements.

Power Management System (PMS) is an integrated part of the SMARTChief® II, but may also be supplied as a

stand alone system. The PMS puts the green thinking into a new perspective by its integrated fuel optimizing

modes. This compact and cost competitive power management system is designed for marine and offshore power

plants of any complexity and up to any number of generators, and complies with all major classification societies

rules. The system is adaptable to control any plant combining engine generators and fixed frequency generators.

Production of automation systems

We do the production of all Wärtsilä Propulsion Control System (PCS) in which is a comprehensive system of

control devices, displays, indicators and modules designed to suit all possible propulsion configurations of a

modern ship.

Since we are an independent panel builder not tied to any brands, we can allow our project engineers to design

and tailor each and every delivery in accordance with the customer’s requirements – and on the basis of their own

extensive experience with component selection.

Lost productivity caused by poor performance or unplanned failure of the power

plant or automation system can significantly reduce the revenue and profitability.

To reach the production and business goals, our customers need to keep the

critical assets running at peak efficiency. Nevertheless, not all companies have

the resources to develop and sustain a preventive maintenance program that will

optimize their operating environment.

Four (4) types of maintenance strategy, which one to choose? Four general types of

maintenance philosophies can be identified, namely corrective, preventive, risk-based

and condition-based maintenance.

HPS has its own service team available 24h - 7 days a week. By this, our

customer can get in contact with one of our service engineers during a critical

situation.
