I was not short listed in the first round. when I was  preparing for this reliance test  , some persons told me to learn all BE subjects….so I go through all the subjects(digital electronics,  microprocessors, analog  & digital communications, basic electronics) with the  help of GATE books.But no use… the test was very simple… not subject based test.

but this may useful if u will select in the first round… coz…in the second round technical they asked questions from microprocessors,  networking and digital(my friend told))

The 2nd Test was Subject test, for me Electrical based.It was also multiple choice paper with few ques.s in which ans was to be written. It had questions from all the subjects of electrical and a few of electronics. Study relays, transmission line, Circuit breakers, power transfer from a transmission line, transformer, power systems, digital electronics.

Some numericals were also there, but were simple.1. There was 2 test...1st. Aptitude test which consists of 75 questions which was very easy.....eg:.... i an function there was a man and his wife. they are having two sons they are married and they are having 2 childrens.... how many of them was there in that function.2. five proverb will be given. and corresponding sentence will be also given. match the appropriate sentence with that Proverb.3. and some sentence will be given and its meaning and other sentence will be given and we want to find it out relating to the first sentance.

2nd....Subject Test......it was also easy...but we have to go through electrical objective questions....50 questions was there.... out of that 46 questions was about electrical and 2 abt digital and remaining 2 abt microprocessor.

So u must go through Electrical thoroughly...otherwise you wont get cleared......According to my experience...no need to go through R.S Agrawal...and rest of the book.... because no questions was asked from it....Study your Subject very well.....surely u will get cleared in aptitude.....

Separate exams are contected for Separate Branch...... I fail to clear the Apptitude......because i havent gone through Subject......

the first paper was of mat it consisted of 75 qst. related to aptitude. you should try to solve r.s.aggarwal for this as most of the question were on same pattern. like sun is related to sunlight, series qst,coding,you should b fast as it is assumed that those qualifying in this section are able to get good marks. practice as hard as you can.

the(50 qst) second part of paper was related to chemical engg.some were unusual qst.but all an all a good paper thorough reading of text is required as qst are sometimes from with in the lines of text.prepare ff,mt,ht,bio-tech .

hello frends..i faced the reliance placement exam on 8th APRIL 2007 and it was a great experience as i finally got through. I would share some the major points i felt which led to my selection

WRITTEN TEST: written was in two different papers ,mental aptitude and subject paper. the aptitude was damn easy if u have sound understanding of the concepts of verbal ability. the maths questions were too easy to be mentioned. but in this cut off went very high, almost 60 out of 70.

the other part of subject test. i am from instrumentation stream so they mainly concentrate on two things..flow and level measurements. they selected only 23 out of around 600.

next day we had interview and it was 1 hour of full technical. here also they specially saw ur knowledge of process control and flow,temp,level and pressure measurement..  they ask a lot from ur inplant training...so be thorough with that.finally they took just 4 and i was one of the fortunates. BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!

It was also multiple choice paper with few ques.s in which ans was to be written. It had questions from all the subjects of electrical and a few of electronics. there were totally two sectionsSection 1 (multiple choice questions) 75 questions 30 minsfor this section no need to prepare any quantitative aptitude, reasoning, nverbal or non-verbal. Because all the questions are different..... some of them are...

this section is very simple...but time is important. we have to answer 75 ques in 30 mins.

I was not short listed in the first round. when I was preparing for this reliance test , some persons told me to learn all BE subjects….so I go through all the subjects(digital electronics, microprocessors, analog & digital communications, basic electronics) with the help of GATE books.But no use… the test was very simple… not subject based test.

The General was unbelievably easy. Just english n maths Q were asked. Just prepare RS AGRAWAL n u will b through.

The technical was worth preparing, Prepare Soil, Survey, Quantity analisis, structure both steel n concrete. Structural analysis.................

N then there comes THE TECHNICAL INTERVIEW. There were 2 interviewers both of Very experienced..............

They asked me A LOT OF Q like............ Why u choose CIVIL only??? Did u tried to cahnge it???? Whts the meaning of ur name??? Why ur name is GITA only??? Then they throw some technical q like design a beam with 5t m moment design a column n alll that Then they wanted me to explain my BE project, after that they were interested in my BE seminar................

Then after 50min struglllle they said u r throu.....

After that They conduct HR INTERVIEW.........................

N at the end of the day..........................

They said they will send me APPOINTMENT Latter. N now I m in BecRel......................

this was mainly contane english language question little bit strange naaaa. q like sun related to light then automobile to ..quantative question was very -very simplelike if 3 pen cost 5 cent then how much in 10 cent.some synoname like disgarce and other word. then very simple question like if first 2 statment is correct then what about 3rd according to given fact. So don’tbe hopless u may got call for next time. but u need good speed because u have to do 75 question in 30 minute
