What Type of Door ?• A comprehensive range of locks for both exterior

and interior glass panelled or solid timber doors.

• Variants available for outward opening doors.

• Locks available to suit doors between 35mm and 60mm thick.

What i s Backset?• This is the measurement from the edge of the

door to the centre of the keyhole.

• Cylinder rim locks are commonly supplied with either a 40mm or 60mm backset.

• Locks with a 40mm backset are normally used where there is restricted space, such as on a glass panelled door.

Application• For wood doors from 35mm to 60mm thick hinged on

the left or right opening inwards.• Variants also available for outward opening doors,

10973 or 10983.• Suitable for both exterior and interior doors and

recommended for glass panelled doors.• May be supplied masterkeyed.• Designed for those applications requiring an internal

locking handle.

Operation• The bolt is withdrawn by key outside and

handle inside, unless handle is locked by key.• Handle can be locked by one revolution of key

in both its normal or rotated positions.• When the handle is locked whilst in rotated

position, the bolt is held withdrawn.• Bolt may be snibbed in the withdrawn position.• When door is closed bolt is automatically locked

against end pressure by the anti-thrust slide.
