The God Who Is There:Finding Your Place in Gods Story

What do you imagine God is like?Is He a kindly grandfather who lets you off easy?

Or did He simply make the world and then left us alone

because He had more important things to do? Or do you think

He has to do nice things for you if you do nice things for Him.

How does what we imagine God to be compare to what

    the Bible says?

Pastor Brian Humphreys continues his series on the big picture of

the Bible at First Baptist Church of Howard City:The God Who Is There.Message January 30th: The God Who Writes His Own Agreements

Message February 6th: The God Who Can Make the Rules and Does

Join us on our journey through the Bible to understandwho God is and what He has done for us.

Since2005, the average number of re-mote controls in the living roomhas grown worldwide and, as aresult, consumers are showinga clear interest in technologiesthat make home entertainmentsimple again.

Fortunately, with the rightremote, you can replace up to adozen others.

Calling Everyone Over 40 There Is Still Time!First, thanks for the comment from a reader about the poison ivy article. This reader suggested that drinking two glasses

of apple juice before going out to work in areas where poison ivy is growing was helpful as a preventive. This probablyadjusts the skin pH (acidity measure) which in turn reduces the sensitivity to the oil in the poison ivy plant leaf. Sounds likea good suggestion.

Now back to the topic. As people enter the decade of their forties, I read their comments all the time that they aregetting older.

First, this bothers me a lot because what I hear is people are actually programming themselves to get old and die young. What we think about is what we get, so if, though-out our lives we constantly are saying, I am going to live to be 120 yearsold, we actually increase our chances of getting to be 100 years old in good health. When we constantly talk about gettingold, it will actually accelerate our aging.

Second, the decade of the forties is a time when many of us do begin to think about our lives and where we are goingand what we are doing. We may go to the doctor for a physical and blood tests. We may see that we did not take suchgood care of ourselves. We may realize that the old football injury is catching up with us. We may hear ourselves gruntingand groaning as we get up out of that chair.

So, now lets analyze our thinking and take inventory of what is going on in our body. Begin to program yourself to livein perfect health until you are 98 or 120. If you need some help with that try our mind coaching CD, Coaching for PerfectHealth or Christian Coaching for Perfect Health. Now available at Robinsons Bargains Unlimited.

When you do a body inventory, here are some things to think about: Are you experiencing any chronic pain? Wheredoes that come from? Do you have any detrimental habits? How is it hurting you? Are you overweight for your height?

What is the quality of your food? What is the size of your food portions? How is your energy? Areyou experiencing the effects of too much stress? Do you know how to neutralize stress? Are youdoing anything that is damaging to your v ision or hearing? How are your routes of waste elimination(bowel movements, urine, breath, sweat)? Is everything working the way it should? Are you having

fun? Do you enjoy life? Do you love getting up every morning? Are your relationships affecting yourhealth?

After you do this little inventory, do some more thinking, such as what else do I need to knowabout my self? Most of us have functional health issues that have not yet resulted in pathology

or damage. There is still time to fix it. Our bodies have remarkable self healing and compensationmechanisms. So what can we do, what can we learn, how can we heal ourselves, how can we liveto be 100+ years old and remain in perfect health? Many have done it, so why not every one? Startasking, start reading, start searching, educate yourself, take responsibility.

Put Your Health in Your Own Hands. Bob Huttinga PA-C. 989-352-6500.
