Dear Mr. Wright,
I write with reference to your letter dated 2nd December, 1952 in which you ask me to interview Mr. Ephraim
Makhamya who has applied for the post of Library Assistant at Fort Hare.
Mr. Makhamya appears to be of a quiet unassuming
personality. He would, I imagine, apply himself to work
steadily and consistently. He has, as you may know, been taking his B.A. degre while employed at the University here.
He has been allowed to attend lectures but has had to make up that time to the Library. This indicates a certain steadiness of purpose and a great deal of continued hard work over four years. He tells me that he attends the Methodist Church regularly every :Junday and at one time
taught in Sunday School. He was also a Pathfinder Scoutfor lack of time. He says he has had

He intends to take a diploma in librarianship.
From the interview I would day that he would do
