Open Day is a great time for students to experience life at RMIT. Dates for this year’s Open Days are:

Open Day Highlights Here’s a list of what we think are ‘must see’ presentation and experiences while on campus:

Intro to RMIT presentation Bundoora – 11am City – 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm Designed to give students an overview of study options and experiences on offer through RMIT.

Parents information session Bundoora – 12pm City – 11am Providing parents information on all things RMIT, including VTAC applications, fees and pathways.

How2RMIT presentation Bundoora – 11:30am City – 10:15am, 12pm, 1pm Get the inside scoop on the real RMIT experience from current students.

Elite Athletes Presentation City – 12:30pm Covering the criteria for elite classification, the entry scheme, academic flexibility, timetable support, scholarships and more!

Regional and Interstate Presentation Bundoora – 11am City – 11am Making the move to Melbourne can be scary, but RMIT can help with the process! Find out how!

Global Experiences Presentation City – 11:30am Where in the world might RMIT take you? Find out how you can travel as part of your studies.

The Design Marketplace Brunswick – All day Shop for unique crafted and designed items on sale from RMIT’s talented Vocational and Higher Education students.

Wanting to take flight?

Free buses from Shepparton and Bairnsdale Do you have students interested in coming to RMIT Open Day from Shepparton or Gippsland?

Students can register to catch a free RMIT bus service. They’re welcome to bring family members along too!

Course updates

Associate Degree in Aviation (Professional Pilots) Classes for this course are now being offered at both our Point Cook and Bendigo facilities. Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to apply for a CASA Commercial Pilots Licence plus either Command Instrument Rating (multi-engine) or Flight Instructor Rating (single engine).

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)

This new degree will allow entry with any maths including Further Mathematics, opening doors to many students that would otherwise miss out without the Maths Methods prerequisite.

Students will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of specialisation electives in their first year, giving them the information they need to choose the area they’d like to focus on and continue from second year.

Bachelor of International Studies

This degree will replace our Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) for students commencing in February 2020.

Within this course, students will be able to specialise in one of four streams – general international studies, development, global security or languages, as well as choose electives. Students will develop skills in international relations, diplomacy, business and humanitarian policy and have the opportunity to complete an internship in Australia or overseas..

Bachelor of Space Science

Did you know that space is a $495 billion-dollar industry? Australia currently does not have sufficient skilled professionals to meet this need. In response to this, RMIT will launch the Bachelor of Space Science for the February 2020 intake.

This degree encompasses our strong space industry and space agency partnerships with government and industry, including connections with Boeing, the Department of Defence and NASA.
