Thermal management
Large drain openings allow for chimney effect between the electrical and optical sections, improving cooling and thermal isolation. Electronics and
optical sections are independent and separated by a gasket reducing thermal conductivity between both chambers.
Drivers are mounted in their most thermally efficient position, upside down on the door which is acting as a heatsink. This mounting position greatly improves electronics cooling.
Extruded heat sink section is made of A6063 aluminum which is over 90% more thermally conductive than a typical A380 cast housing.
The unique shape of the RoadView draws heat to where natural convection is superior, resulting in more efficient cooling and lower EPA.
