The Testudo's Pick poster best demonstrates the importance of global business savvy, or knowledge of business environments and drivers that operate in and between countries. The

team who gets the most votes for Testudo's Pick will receive student business cards.

HOW TO VOTE FOR TESTUDO’S PICK?:1. Scan QR code on the front cover to download the Terp Life App.

2. Search "Passport to Global Mindset" on the Terp Life App and download the "Passportto Global Mindset."

3. "Check-in” and create a profile.

4. Listen to presentations at the Global Showcase.

5. To vote for Testudo's Pick…take a photo of the poster, upload the photo to the“Testudo’s Pick for Global Showcase” section on the app with a 1 sentence captiondescribing why the poster demonstrates the importance of global business savvy. Enterprise and Innovation This category focuses on a country’s ability to encourage entre-preneurial thinking as a way to create products, processes, and/or services, with an emphasis on identifying innovative ways of addressing needs (either economic, social, and/or political).

Opportunities & Challenges for U.S. Businesses This category explores opportunities and challenges for U.S. companies that conduct business (or hope to conduct business) in a country, including the influence of current economic, political and social situations. The presentation may focus on one country or compare two countries.

Testudo's PickThe Testudo's Pick poster best demonstrates the importance of global business savvy, or knowledge of business environments and drivers that operate in and between countries. The team who gets the most votes for Testudo's Pick will receive student business cards.

The 5th Annual Global Showcase features five main poster categories. Judges will select one winner per category, and the winning teams will

receive a $500 award. Judges will focus on the presenters’ overall knowledge, professionalism, and communication skills.

Comparative Business Analysis This category analyzes the business practices in one country as they compare to business practices in the U.S. or in another coun-try. Comparisons may focus on economic, political, cultural, and/or social differences or similarities as they relate to conducting business.

Effects of Culture on Business This category examines how a country’s cultural dimension scores inform how business is conducted both within the country and between other nations. The presentation draws upon at least three of Geert Hofstede’s cultural dimensions and address opportunities and challenges.

Digital Technology Transforming BusinessThis category examines how commerce in different countries is being transformed by digital technologies and AI. The presentation can examine how overseas companies are making use of the Internet, mobile platforms, or AI, and how these uses have adapted to local conditions. It can also examine how U.S. companies are making use of these technologies in overseas markets.
