This affidavit is predicated on the Investigation conducted by your affiant, as it pertains to the violent murder of Pamela T

in Manatee County, Florida. Your affiant allege that said murder is the result of the controlling behavior of the defendant,

ongoing domestic violence within the home, the motive of financial gain by the defendant and subsequent drowning of th

victim.

On September 11, 2008 Robert Taylor called 911 at 0805 hours and reported that his wife, Pamela Taylor, had accidenta

drowned in their residential swimming pool. Responding Deputy G. Barbosa arrived at the Taylors' residence at

approximately 0812 hours. Robert Taylor reported finding his wife face down in the swimming pool. Taylor advised Dep

Barbosa that he removed his wife from the deep end of the pool and placed her at the steps where Deputy Barbosa obsew>

~ her. Deputy Barbosa noted in his report that upon his arrival he noticed that Robert Taylor's clothing was dry, and showeII:

~ evidence of having been in the swimming pool. Deputy Barbosa notified his superiors of his observations, and confirmatio

paramedics that Pamela Taylor was deceased. Criminal Investigation Division was notified and Detectives and Forensic

The defendant discovered that his initial payment to Global life insurance for this policy to take effect was rejected on

September 8, 2008. On September 18, 2008, the defendant made a payment over the internet using the decedent's

bank card to pay for premium. The defendant subsequently called Global Life on September 26, 2008 and advised his

wife died accidentally and listed her day of death as the date the payment was made on September 18, 2008. This

information was obtained by subpoenaed documents from the insurance companies, admissions by the defendant and

forensic examination of his lawfully recovered computer.

The defendant stated in all previous interviews with Detectives that he had sold his old computers, then the story chang

and he stated that he gave them to someone, a friend and a cleaning lady. In the interview on September 21,2010 the

defendant disclosed that he had given his old computer to Goodwill. Detectives Ricardo Alvarado and John Kenney

were able to locate his discarded computer at Goodwill.

The next door neighbor was interviewed on March 25, 2010 by detectives, and under oath stated that on September 10

2008 at approximately 2345 hours she and her husband were on their lanai. This lanai is separated only by a privacyfence and is approximately 35 feet away from the pool of the decedent. The neighbor described hearing a violent

argument which included screaming, yelling, pushing and thumps. The neighbor then heard the defendant yelling "you

~~hiS was followed by silence and the pool lights going out, she then described a water sloshing sound

coming from the pool. She went on to describe one of the Chihuahuas barking franticly; however did not hear them

barking throughout the night.

The investigation revealed that the defendant had a history of domestic violence against the decedent which regularly l

her injured, with contusions about her body, including black eyes. While Robert Taylor was separating from the Manate

County Sheriffs Office on September 24,2007, Pamela Taylor surreptitiously pointed out injuries to her person, includin

contusions about her body and a black eye. This was investigated by Professional Standards and the Domestic Violenc

Unit. During the investigation Pamela attributed her injuries to falling in the pool. This case was not investigated any

further.

The defendant used his computer to obtain life insurance quotes and one accidental death life insurance policy obtaine

using his personal email account, 14 days prior to her alleged accidental death. The investigation also revealed

numerous lies and inconsistencies as to the existence of any life insurance policies on the life of the decedent.
