In Week 3 and Week 4 of this term our Year 3 & 7 students will take part in NAPLAN testing online. The NAPLAN assesses Literacy skills in Writing, Reading and Language Conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and Numeracy skills. NAPLAN provides information about how students are progressing in Literacy and Numeracy against the national standards and how they compare to their peers. I would like to wish all Mum’s a Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday. ☺

Class News: Mrs Schutz and the Year 2-7 students

What a busy start to Term 2 with our focus on ANZAC Day and Mother’s Day. We have also been lucky enough to welcome five new pet fish to our school. The children have loved cleaning their aquarium, feeding them, naming them and watching them swim. Wishing Tamika and Jaymes a big Happy Birthday! We would also like to wish all of our Mums a Happy Mother’s Day. Please enjoy reading the reasons why we love you!

lovely, beautiful, full of life and above all my best friend. I’m glad to

have a Mum like I do. I love you Mum!

Beau: My Mum is special because she cares for me and makes me

yummy food all the time after football training.

Noah: I love my Mum because she helps me with homework, cooks me

yummy meals, takes me places, buys me cool things and loves me no

matter how she feels.

James: I love my Mum because she has unconditional love and care for

me and always takes me to footy no matter where it is.

Angie: I love my Mum because she tries to make our wishes come true.

She asks about our days at school, she loves to see what we get up to.

Tamika: My Mum is special because she shows me kindness that only

a mum can show and goes out of her way to help me whenever she

can. She’s been a friend and a role model to me and that’s why my

Mum is so special.

Jaymes: I love my Mum because she always cares about me, she gave

me a special thing for my birthday and she always wants a hug.

Axel: I love my Mum because she is going to take me to a maze on my

birthday, she makes me good dinners and she came to my first footy

game and cheered me on.

Amia: I love my Mum because she has the best cuddles, makes the

best chicken nuggets and makes me smile.

Ryleann: I love my Mum because she gives me warm hugs. She is

special because she takes me places and cooks great meals.
