Effects of Global Warming
Polar ice caps will melt
Disease will spread
Intensity of droughts and heat waves will increase
Hypothesis
A higher concentration of carbon dioxide will positively affect the plant and increase glucose production
Variables
Independent- The amount of carbon dioxide in the water
Dependent- The amount of glucose produced
Constant- Amount of water in beakers (450ml), type of plant, both beakers contained a thermometer
Control- Beaker with 350 cc of carbon dioxide
Analysis1 tablet=4,000 ml 350cc=1 tablet 350cc=4,000 ml
Beaker One Beaker Two
4,000 ml / 450 ml= 9 48000 ml / 450 ml= 107
350cc=4,000ml 350cc x 12= 4,200cc
350cc=450 ml 4,200cc=48,000 ml
4,200cc= 450 ml
Conclusion
My hypothesis was correct
•But the concentration
was not kept constant
• Our pH levels do not
my finding in research
Future Experiment
How would high concentrations of carbon dioxide in water effect the fish living in the water?
Look into Co2 and pH more
Co2 + H20 <--> H2Co3
