PRINCIPAL’S THOUGHTS

It’s terrific to be back at school and semester 2 is well underway. Lots to look forward to this term including;

Camps, Learning Talks, Athletics and more.

Just a few reminders

The new normal is something we are talking about a lot at the moment and unfortunately it is impacting on us

here at school too. The following are some measures that are in place to keep our community safe during the

Pandemic:

Parents are not permitted onsite unless they are attending an appointment

Kiss n’ Go is available for pick up and drop off

All gates are open for children to come to and from school. This reduces the amount of crowding

1.5m social distancing is a recommendation by the government to keep us all safe

New Preps

It’s officially the time of year to have your child enrolled for 2020. Our transition timeline is set and in the next

few weeks there will be a number of sessions for students and families to attend. So if you have; your next

little one, a neighbour, a friend or family member attending Ranfurly next year please encourage them to get

down to the office and return their forms.

Camps and Excursion

We have received notification from the Government that schools in regional areas can go ahead with Camps

and Excursions as long as they are not visiting the restricted areas. This means that our Grade 3 Camp to Swan

Hill, our Grade 4 camp to Roses Gap and our Grade 5 Camp to Sovereign Hill will be proceeding. This may be

challenging to some parents, so please be assured we will be taking every safety precaution for these activities

and if you have any major problems with your child attending, please contact their teacher. As for our Grade 6

Camp, unfortunately this has been cancelled but we are negotiating another option for something in term 4

(stay tuned!)
