The Haarslev Roller Crusher is designed for calibration of cooked animal by-products before fat separation in a traditional dry rendering process. The calibrated greaves will have a particle size of approximately 25 mm after the roller crusher.

ADVANTAGES• Lower wear on press screws due

to smaller bone particles• Larger pieces of metal will be caught

in the roller crusher instead of damaging the press and reliability.

Further the roller crusher can be delivered with an electronic speed control to protect the drive unit in case of blocking.

29TECHNICAL DESCRIPTIONThe roller crusher is made with the motor and the gear as one unit and with mechanical seals and outside bearings. The knives of the roller crusher are highly wear resistant steel. The high quality steel is preferred in order to ensure a long working life.
