R.G.H.O.A. News By Harry Wiggins President Summer is moving right along. I have met with management twice and although we don't have any details to report, I am told that the plans for the Park Improvements are moving through the planning stage as scheduled. I remain optimistic that we will all be pleased with the planned improvements. I have been assured that as details be-come available we will be informed. I know that there are many rumors flying about, but I would caution that spreading rumors serves no ones interest; patience, however is a virtue and good things are worth the wait.

THE MIDWEST CLUB
By Charlotte Dantzman If I knew the Hawaiian word for “fantastic” I would have used it to describe the great evening we had at our July meeting. The sixty five members and guests who attended got into the “Hawaiian theme” with colorful shirts and outfits including grass skirts and a Hula Hoop. There were leis adorning every-one and everything. It seemed that the pineapple was the pre-ferred dish of the evening as many of the dishes prepared by our enthusiastic guests had some of this delicious fruit as part of the ingredients. The only thing missing was a great big dish of Poi. As the sound of the “Beach Boys” gently wafted around the room, the “Hawaiian Punch” brought by our happy guests was flowing freely. After dinner some of the members partici-pated in a vigorous and sometimes hilarious game of water vol-leyball while others relaxed and played card games. What a wonderful time we had. It was the best time ever!!! We were pleased to see that Andrew Dill, Christina Clif-ford, Gary Meyers, Terri Meyers, Eva Lynch, Mary Munoz, Irene Hunt, Heddy Eskite, Helen Bullerdick, Rae Horn and Don Jansen joined the Midwest Club. Congratulations!!! Guests were Emily Wojcik, Aaron Bauchamp, Peggy Gagnon, Rick Gagnon, Cindy Delman, Steve Delman, Ray Meade and Jean Riley. We hope to see you all again soon. Congratulation to all the members and guests of the Mid-west Club who celebrated July Anniversaries and Birthdays. For the month of August we will have a $2.00 per person hamburger/cheeseburger meal prepared by our in house chefs plus Bill Lynch will roast corn on the cob. Bill stated that any-one wanting grilled corn should provide their own which should be soaked in the husks in salted water the night before and he will do the roasting at the club house prior to the meal being served. If you bring a “cob” you get a “cob.” As usual, mem-bers and guests are to provide a dish to pass and their own plates, utensils and drinks. There will also be our famous 50/50 drawing so bring those extra “bucks” you have just laying around the house doing nothing and contribute to a great cause, “The Midwest Club.” Join us on August 10th at 5:00 pm for another evening of fun, companionship, and good eats. A sign up sheet will be at the north club house with a cut off date of August 1st for any-one participating. We do need this for a more accurate count in order to purchase the necessary food. We are anticipating doing a BBQ rib dinner for the month of September for $6.00 per person. Details will be in the August newsletter. Until then, See Ya!!!!

Area 1 Helen Tague 624-3922 Area 1 Director Motivate: to stimulate into action; provide with an in-centive. As my dog and I ride around Area 1 in the am, I do not see any activity. So, what has motivated you this summer, or like me, has your motivation headed north for the summer? Through the prodding of friends, I have gone to “chair exercises” and have also decided to go through “papers”. Re-member when we used to get our actual checks back. Well, in my house they are all gone, along with old tax records, recipes that I’ll never use, etc. I’d like to write a column in Sept. titled “what I did this summer”, so give me some input. Thanks. The Board has been busy (motivated) thinking up ways to socialize this summer. Hamburger platter for the 4th of July was very successful. A big thanks to Barb, Laura and Linda Lee for stepping up to the plate and serving the food for this event. Water volley ball is a new activity on Sunday after-noons, weather permitting. The “dogs” are back for Labor Day. Don’t forget the chicken BBQ Aug. 23 which Newby Management will provide. CERTS (Citizens Emergency Response Team) will be having a meeting Thursday, Aug. 8 at 6:30 pm at the ECH. Looking forward to hearing from you. Stay safe.
Area 3 Gary Underwager Area 3 Director Once again, “Hello”, from Area 3 to all residents of beautiful Rolling Greens. I would like to say thanks to our management for continuing to upgrade streets here in our park. It was real good to see that Carlisle got a make over, even though they were not able to get rid of “Lake Carlisle” in the process. With all the rain we have been getting the “Lake” is real evident. I was not here for the 4th of July outing but have heard that it went very well and the food was delicious. Thanks to all who gave of their time to make this a success and to all who showed up to enjoy the event. It is time once again for residents to think of running for the Board or as Area Director. This year Area 1 and Area 3 are available and also 3 Board seats are open. If you wish to run for one of these positions please let the Board know. There are a lot of activities going on here in the Park, hopefully you are able to get out and enjoy some or all of them. Try to keep the rumors down to a low roar, until next time, en-joy your summer!!
Area 2 By Mary McCarthy Area 2 Director Wow I can't believe we are almost at the end of summer. Where did it go? Well my summer has been very busy. Mike and I have had our granddaughters for most of July. That is a lot of work and food. I know it has been some time since we had little children around. I feel that I spent most of the time in the kitchen and grocery store. Boy, can those girls can eat. It was great to have them here and it was great to see them go. Enough about me. I see a few changes around here new roads and drive-ways. Some new fencing by the pump house of West Glenea-gles. We have yet to hear from management as to their ideas to improve the park. The rumors are running rampied around here, but don't forget that is just what they are, rumors. I have heard so many different ones that they are all running together in my head. Well enjoy what is left of summer. Before we know it the snowbirds will be coming back and our calendars will be full of things to do. Be safe and enjoy. Thank you.
Area 4 Karen Reagle Area 4 Director Hello everyone! Here it is August. Where has the sum-mer gone! Time flies when you’re having fun! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the H.O.A. Labor Day Picnic—Monday, September 2, 2013. Two chili dogs (or hot dogs), french fries, ice cream and a drink for a very reason-able price. Come enjoy good food and a good time with friends and neighbors. MAKE SURE to sign up at one of the club-houses before August 28. Also, the Newby Barbecue will be happening on Friday, August 23, 2013, at the North Clubhouse. Serving will begin at noon. Also, thanks to everyone for their caring and support during the recent passing of my brother-in-law, Larry Bruner. The people of this community are really great. They are not only there for the good times but the sad times too.

Operation Shoebox By Kaye Loper Report thru 7/20/13 Really not much to report as donations have really slowed down! (as you can see by the few donors names on the thank you list).
Cash Donations AIsobell Rogal Josephine Lizzo Evelyn DelVicchio Pat Angelo Flo & Bob Gustafson Terri Clegg Kaye Loper D.A.V. Bingo Belleview
Special Donations Mary Jane Carlson - donated a beautiful 8 piece set of dinner ware to be sold at Operation ShoeBox Thrift Shop in Belleview the cash to be used for shipping. Leota Bailey - a donations of special cards she sent from Grove City OH where she now lives. Lee hasn’t forgotten Our Troops and Operations ShoeBox.
Most of the cash donations are coming from D.A.V. Bingo Players in Belleview. It may be as little as one dollar or as much as half of
what they win!! Every dollar helps , its for Our Troops!!! As you get your Bingo Money together on Tuesdays for Bingo at our North Clubhouse. PLEASE add another dollar or two for shipping to Our Troops. Remember what the letter from our troop says about receiving those Dittie Bags from Home!!! If you don’t play Bingo, maybe your club could help with a donation. The Midwest Club just made a very nice dona-tion. Thank you again! We’re hoping to hear from some other clubs. The last shipping cost figure that I have was:
Approximately $15,000 a month. And Our Troops are worth every penny of that $15,000 for all they do for us!!!! Back to BINGO As you all know, I do play BINGO at the North Club-house on Tuesday at 1pm and sometimes I WIN!!! It’s also a good social time! The cookies and cakes are really good, so come on down and try your hand at BINGO and I’ll be glad to receive your donations there or call me at 624-3725 and I will come pick up your donation! ANYTIME!!! Thanks to all of you for your donations and remembering Our Troops. Please keep your donations coming! Thank you from The Troops, Mary Harper, and me, Kaye Loper. Maybe you can help in another way “Be A Volunteer” One of the most common things we hear from the troops is that the letters inside the care packages from the home front mean the most to them. We need volunteers to: Write letters/cards Pack care packages Sew Bags Crochet strings for the bags Volunteer for events Make stationery packets Collect items from the list Volunteer in the Thrift Store YOU make all the difference in the life of our troops! Volunteer today! If you can help, call me at 624-3725 or contact Operation ShoeBox 352-307-6723

By Rich Allen We would like to thank all those who took part in our July 4th RED, WHITE AND BLUE PARADE. We had over 26 carts and 1 motorcycle. Also thanks to our residents who cheered us on along the parade route. Just a reminder. If you drape your flag or place it in your window please make sure that the “UNION” the blue field is on the left when facing it. Please come join us. Our Chapter is open to all Vets who served from the summer of 1964 to the spring of 1975. You did NOT have to serve in country. There is no length of time you needed to serve during that period, just 1 day will make you eligible. If you were in country, from March 1961 you are also eligible to join. We are only 5 members away from making a Rolling Greens Chapter. Our next meeting will be September 5th at 6:30 in the NCH. Hope to see you there.

R.G.H.O.A. Board Minutes Board Meeting of Rolling Greens Homeowners Association of
Ocala, Inc. Board Meeting of July 1, 2013
The meeting was called to order at 3:30 pm by 1st vice president Gary Ackerman, followed by the board prayer.
The secretary’s report for the June 3rd board meeting was accepted as read. The treasurer’s report for the month of June was ac-cepted as read. Area 1 director Helen Tague made a motion to appoint Tom Mullen as chairman of the nominating committee, it was seconded and approved by the board. She also commented on a new bill that would possibly affect H.O.A.s and their ability to perform. Bob Senge will investigate this by calling the people at the FMO, and get back to us. Area 4 director Karen Reagle commented on the mail boxes in front of empty homes, and wanted to know whose re-sponsibility it is to take them out. We will get the answer and report back. She also commented on the paving of the roads. She also has not gotten a response on the resident concerns she wrote about to John Hall, and would like Harry to follow up on this. 1st vice president Gary Ackerman commented on the paving also, and commented on the work orders not being fol-lowed through with. He also would like to know why the grounds where mobile homes were removed are not being fixed properly according to the park rules and regulations. A comment from the floor about a tree on an empty house needs to be addressed in writing, with a copy of the work order given to the board to follow up on. The board is determined to continue meetings with Newby management, and all correspondence should be in writ-ing, and results will be on record with the board, and will be available at the meetings to follow. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting, seconded and approved at 4:15pm. Respectfully submitted, Bob Senge, Secretary.

Residents Speak Hello Resident's of Rolling Greens Community:
NO! THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS NOT DEAD. I am a resident in this community. Many of you may know me and don't worry if you don't. I have recently not only been honored but also blessed to be voted by the GOP as your Precinct Committee person that is charged with the responsi-bility to help all of you to vote with ease and understanding of our candidates in the coming 2014 and 2016 elections. Now, for those who have known the tricks played on the primary candidates in Tampa in 2012 who were running for President are the Conservatives it was Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul. Do you have an idea why the Rino' of the party, by the way, are not Republican/Conservative but Democrats invading our party but vote liberal. So, the party rules on nominating a Conservative candidate for office did not happen. As we all well know, what we have as our President and his officers is not only a shame but a true Marxist and communist to the full-est degree. I hope you all are reading and watching good news programs but be very careful because the news media over all is mostly responsible for the mess we now have in Washing-ton. Yes, there is so much more that I could talk about, so that I don't bore you anymore, just know that I do my very best to help our community have a true and fair election because that is the only way that we the people can once again bring back our country or if we don't than there will likely be no going back anymore. A few issues that are of real concern: Health Care which is known by Obama Care. I plan to have a town hall meeting to include the truth of this law. God forbid it is passed. I will try and have a speaker who will tell us the real side to this bill. Employment, Housing, Finances, Cost of living, energy, who to trust in congress, so other issues will be added as well. I suggested for the time being to chime into the group called Numbers.com there you will be able to fax all you want for free and it is a safe site. The fax information will go directly to your congressman that you don't want for example, the am-mensity/immigration bill passed. That would be a disaster. So sign in to that group and yes I use that program daily to fax all I can. Just know how to contact me from this day forward, anytime, my answering machine will open and running 7/24 just for you and I promise I will get back with you immedi-ately. Together, we will work and play together in our commu-nity. But, folks, we must if were republicans vote back in Con-servatives. WATCH OUR MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS FOR INFORMATION. Those who live year around if you are interested the board of elections is asking people who would like to work the polls on election day to contact them to inquire about training days. We badly need GOP poll watchers. If you need contact numbers let me know. If you’re on line you could go to truethevote.com and educate your self, it is free and very en-joyable on the importance of having free and fair elections or our country as I have said is slipping away. WAKE UP GUYS. Those who live up north and are here part time are wel-come to our events and invited to contact me as well. If you live up north you will vote for the party and we hope it will be Conservative candidates.

Residents Speak By Tom Mullen Golf is a great game, and it is fun. That is what we tell the new player's who are trying to learn. There are a lot of women learning how to play. It is a wonderful thing to see our wives playing, and a lot of single ladies too. Yes, they may be a little slow at first, but we are all having FUN. To those one or two, (you had to learn) I have to laugh, that you say your game was ruined because the ladies were slow, grow up. If any of us were pros we would not be here in Rolling Greens. Ladies I for one am happy to see you playing. It will only help the Ladies Golf Association. To take this game to seriously is a shame. To play this game at our age is great. It is not how hard or far you hit the ball or how many times, it is how it arrived. So if you hear the word (etiquette) not to worry that will come as you
