NOT a Confession …“that God has for Christ’s
sake already pardoned your sins”
But a confession that you believe in Jesus as the Son of
God
These are the Lord’s commands …
1. That men BELIEVE in Christ
2. Turn away from sin in REPENTANCE
3. CONFESS their faith in Christ
4. Be buried in BAPTISM for the remission of sins
“ Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”
