ROOFTOP TYPE AIR TO AIR HEAT PUMPSCENTRIFUGAL FANS ON OUTDOOR SIDE

RCABZ SERIES

04.06 Ref. 88393 (En) Rev. 102

GeneralThe RCABZ series are Rooftop type Air to Air Heat Pumpsincorporating centrifugal fans on condenser side, which allowsadaptation to air duct distribution system. Air supply may bemade through the front or through the base (downflow).Units are delivered totally finished, filled with the operatingrefrigerant charge, wired and ready for installation. Ductconnections, power supply, controller connection, drain, etc…These units have been produced under strict quality systemthrough the entire process including a final run test to checkbasic operation parameters and safeties.

CabinetCabinet is made of galvanized steel sheet, finished withpolyester powder, electrostatically applied and oven-polymerized of optimum resistance to corrosion. Theassembly is internally lined with thermo-acoustic insulation.

Refrigerant circuitMade of high grade refrigerant copper tubing, clean anddehydrated. Schrader valves on high & low sides. Filter drier, suction accumulator, reversing valves, etc… Brazing is madewith silver alloy under inert atmosphere.

CompressorsReciprocating or Scroll depending upon models. Speciallydesigned for Heat Pump operation, wide operation limits.Inherent thermal protection. All compressors are mounted onthe base with vibration absorbers. Compressors includecharge of lubrication oil and crankcase heater.

Heat exchangersCoils made of aluminium fins and 3/8” copper tubing, highexchanging efficiency.

FansCentrifugal fans, double suction that allow for duct applicationon both sides. Fans are driven by three phase motor 230 or400.3.50.Transmission is made through pulleys and belt for airflow/static pressure regulation. Fans are of reduced sound powerlevel, incorporate pre-lubricated bearings and are static anddynamically balanced.

Expansion deviceIndoor section: thermostatic expansion valve.Outdoor section: “restrictor” or capillaries depending uponmodels.

Air filtersPolyurethan foam, washable. Fire class M1.

Control equipmentRoom thermostat 24V ac. Transformer 24V outlet for the relayoperating system. Contactors for compressor, fan motor, etc.Overloads for three phase fan motors. Head pressurepressostat manual reset, low pressure pressostat automaticreset. Reversing valve, solenoid operated 230V. Time delay, anticycle protection. Defrost system based on periods of timeand temperature of outdoor coil. Main circuit breaker.

Options- Auxiliary electric heat.- Head pressure control.- Economizer, etc.

Electric supply400V 3Ph+N 50H~.Most models available at 230V.3Ph.

USER TERMINAL (pGD CONTROLLER) (Option)

For system control when this incorporates "free cooling".The pGD has several control levels available and accessible using the corresponding passwords. It is employed to program the equipment at the factory and for user modification of the basic operating parameters. The LCDshows the COOL/HEAT operation, environmental temperature, the time (with clock card) and alarms, etc…

HEAD PRESSURE CONTROL

For cooling operation with outside temperatures below 18 °C.All models use dampers on fan supply, driven by actuator and pressure operated by proportional pressostat.

RCAZ SERIES

06.06 Ref. 88392 (En) Rev. 102

DESCRIPTION

GeneralThe RCAZ series are Roof top type units incorporatingcentrifugal fans on condenser side, specially developed forinstallation where there is a need for static pressurealthough it may be installed on a roof or terrace. Air returnis made on the unit front. Air supply may be made on thefront or thought the base (downflow). The units are deliveredtotally finished, filled with the operating refrigerant charge, wired and ready for installation: duct connections, powersupply, controller connection, drain, etc… These units havebeen produced under strict quality system through the entireprocess including a final run test to check basic operationparameters and safeties.

CabinetUnits are constructed of high quality galvanized steel plate, finished with a polyester powder coating, electro staticallyapplied and oven-polymerized of high resistance againstcorrosion. Chassis is constructed of strong steel profilesassuring the necessary rigidity for installation and transport. The finishing is in RAL-1013 colour.

Refrigerant circuitMade of high grade refrigerant copper tubing, clean anddehydrated. Schrader valves on high & low sides. Filter drier, etc… Brazing is made with silver alloy under inert atmosphere.

CompressorsReciprocating or Scroll depending upon models. Wideoperation l imits. Inherent thermal protection. Al lcompressors are mounted on the base with vibrationabsorbers. Compressors include charge of lubrication oiland crankcase heater. One or two compressors dependingon models.

Heat exchangersCoils made of aluminium fins and seamless 3/8” copper tubing, high exchanging efficiency.

FansCentrifugal fans, double suction that allow for duct application.Fans are driven by three phase motor 230 or 400.3.50. IP54protection.

Transmission is made through pulleys and belt for airflow/staticpressure regulation. Fans are of reduced sound power level, incorporate pre-lubricated bearings and are static anddynamically balanced.

Expansion devicesThermostatic expansion valve.

Air filtersPolyurethan foam, washable. Fire class M1.

Control equipmentRoom thermostat 24V ac. Transformer 24V outlet for the relayoperating system. Contactors for compressor, fan motor, etc.Overloads for three phase fan motors. High pressure pressostatmanual reset, low pressure pressostat automatic reset. Timedelay, anticycle protection. Main circuit breaker.

Options- Electric heaters.- Hot water heating coils.- Head pressure control.- Economizer.- Pre-coated condenser coils.- Other static pressures.- Magnetothermic circuit breakers.

Electric supply400V III+N 50H.Other voltages and frequencies on request.
