praiseworthy Catholic traditions.

Background of the Rosary prayer

• It was given to the church by St. Dominic, who had received it from the Blessed Virgin.

• Inspired by the Holy Spirit and instructed by the Blessed Virgin, St. Dominic told people about Rosary prayer.

• Ever since blessed Alan told about this devotion, the voice of the people gave it the name of the Rosary.

Purpose of the Rosary prayer

• The purpose of the Rosary is to help keep in memory some events and mysteries in the history of salvation, and to thank God, and praise God.

How to do Rosary prayer

• Equipment: – Rosary prayer book (Puji Syukur)– Rosaries Necklace

How to do Rosary prayer

1. Make the sign of the cross and say the Apostles Creed.2. Say the Our Father3. Say the three Hail Mary4. Say the Glory be to the Father5. Announce the first Mystery then say the Our Father6. Say ten Hail Mary while meditating on the Mystery7. Say the Glory be to the Father8. Announce the second Mystery: then say the Our Father.

Repeat 6 and 7 and continue with Third, Fourth and Fifth Mysteries in the same manner.
