Address by DG Rtn. Sanjay Girio DG Rtn. Sanjay Giri thanked the club for the warm

welcome and also welcomed the team from FukuwokaJapanese.

o DG Rtn.Sanjay Giri expressed his pleasure with thepartnership between RC Yala and NCHRC, particularly inthe program Standup for Breast Cancer. He alsohighlighted on the possibility of developing a globalgrant project that can significantly increase the numberof beneficiaries. He thanked the club on behalf ofDistrict 3292.

o Rtn. Sanjay Girisaid that RC Yala, a vibrant and exemplaryclub, should take a leading role in helping other clubs inNepal to increase their performance.

Stand Up For Breast Cancer Patient

A program in which Rotary Club of Yala (District 3292) supports Nepal Cancer Hospital Research Centre to treat poor breast cancer patients.DG Rtn. Sanjay Giri has been visited at Nepal Cancer Hospital Research Centre, Harisidhi on 25 August 2017 during DG official Club visit.

o DG Rtn. Sanjay Giri is happy to see the RC Yala makinggood progress in its annual goals and program.

Stand Up for Breast Cancer is a year-long charity program initiated inOctober 2016 (Breast Cancer Awareness month) by RC Yala inassociation with Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center(NCHRC). The program provides free surgical treatment to a poorbreast cancer patient per month for a year. NCHRC provides freesurgery to the breast cancer patient with support from many well-wishers and partners in service. NCHRC provides 50% discount onpathology, radiology and other investigations, 100% discount onsurgery charges, bed charges and medical consultations. Theestimated cost of medicines and consumables (Rs 25,000) is coveredthrough the generous support of Rotary Club of Yala (RotaryInternational, District 3292), as a part of its MOU with NCHRC topay for treating 12 breast cancer patients within a year.The following patients have received surgery and other treatment underthe Standup for Breast Cancer program.

1. Dhan Kumari Adhikari: 35years old fromDhangadi, Kailali.2. Mitra Kumari Dhimal: 46years from Dangihat.3. Rohini Chaudhary: 50years from Ganga Parespur, Dang.4. Durga Maya Thakuri: 44years from Terathum, Morang.5. Laxmi Devi Bista, 64years from Shibaganj, Jhapa.

More needy patients will be treated under the Stand up for BreastCancer Program in the coming days.Rtn. Dr. Sudip Shrestha,Executive Chairman of NCHRC, thanked DGSanjay Giri for his support the Stand up for Breast Cancer Program.

Helping hands at Samudaik Bal Bikas Kendra

August 22, 2017Samudaik Bal Bikas Kendra of Chhaebahal,Lalitpur contacted Anns Group of  Rotary Club  of Yala  with a  requestto provide basic stationary items, toys and games, blanket andmattresses, water filter for the children. As a response, The Annsdecided to raise funds from themselves and their friends and families.Within a week the following amount was collected.Generous contributors:Ann President Meena Shrestha 8,000, Ann BadriLaxmi Joshi 1,000,Ann Gauri Shrestha 1,000, Ann Sushila Joshi 500, Ann RadhaShrestha 500, Ann Bhawani Shrestha 500, Ann Ramona Shrestha300, Rtn. Health Camp at Kavre BanepaAugust 12, 2017

On August 11, 2017 RC Yalaand Anns Group in associationwith Rotary Club of Kavre andthe Rotaract had held a healthcamp at Kavre Banepa. 99women had VIA test and breastcheckups supported by Rotary Club y Yala and Ann Group inpartnership with Nepal Cancer Care Foundation. Patanjali YogCentre had provided required space in their premises for the healthcamp

Of the 99 women tested 6 persons were found to have VIA positive,3 had been found infected and 1 had ovary prolapsed. The camphas been effective, which helped the infected persons to be awareof their health situation on time.

The Ann group has provided Rs. 9900 at the rate 100 per person toNepal Cancer Care Foundation as a VIA test fee support.

The president of RC Kavre, Rtn. Naresh Pradhanang had beeninstrumental arranging health camp facilities and welcoming RCYala  Ann Group.
