As the service of professionals in the restaurant trade and the sale of hot and

cold food, Rotisol has been committed to quality and innovation since 1954. In

this year, the creators of the business developed the first rotisserie, which would

eventually lead to the great Rotisol adventure, in their workshop. Since them, we

have continually made every effort to keep abreast of changes in the profession

and the tastes of customers, while remaining true to the family values on which

our business is run.

Although rotisseries have long since been our leading activity, it has also been

our desire to advance our knowhow in other products in response to our clients’

expectations, including hot cabinets, cold cabinets, ovens &c. This creativity has

however never undermined the requirements of quality, competitiveness, health

and safety that are at the core of our trade. The search for something new

represents a challenge that we continue to pursue in an ever-changing market.

Present throughout the world, but made in France, our products celebrate both

the taste and delight of food both in their design and in their carefully thought-

DETAILS OF OUR HERITAGE AND CHALLENGES

The background of economic crisis leads to a change in eating habits. Rotisol automates its manufacturing process so that its R&D department can innovate while providing energy saving solutions.

Rotisol opens its subsidiary in Poland and the Eastern European market opens up.

Rotisol attends the MATIC fair and cooks a 500-kg ox.

Still keen to innovate, Rotisol develops a wide range of hot and cold display cabinets, the fruit of ongoing research.

Rotisol opens the Léon Labroche school and provides training for many clients.

Crowned with the success of its customer relations, Rotisol leaves the small workshop to set itself up on an industrial estate.

More and more at the forefront of its profession, Rotisol enters the 21st century by modernising its production tool in order to satisfy growing demand and thus continues the art, tradition and knowhow of French-style roasting.

Rotisol exports to the USA and opens subsidiaries in Los Angeles and New York.

Rotisol commences a modest manufacturing operation in Chelles, a small town in the Parisian suburbs in Seine-et-Marne.

“Tossed cold”: a whole new meaning to the word “chi l l ing”

Even dur ing a heatwave, i t is essent ia l to keep cool products at a temperature between 0°C and 5°C, in accordance with hygiene standards.

Most cold cabinets do not manage to meet th is requi rement. However Rot iso l , armed with i ts exper ience with hot cabinets and cooking, has

per fected a system for “ toss ing cold”. Nei ther stat ic nor vent i lated, th is exclus ive dev ice keeps temperatures at su i table leve ls in a l l c i rcumstances,

for an opt imum cost.

Reducing energy consumption

Cabinets, ovens and rot isser ies consume s igni f icant leve ls of energy. Aware of the cost that they pose to the i r c l ients, Rot iso l has launched a product

energy-sav ing programme. Be i t gas or e lectr ic i ty, consumpt ion d i fferences vary by 25-40% compared with compet ing products, whi le prov id ing faster

and more economic per formance.

With i ts t radi t ion of v ig i lance, Rot iso l pays part icu lar at tent ion to matters of safety. The study off ice incorporates these needs at an ear ly stage, on the

and cold temperatures with core temperature readings. We subject our products to se lect ive contro l checks f rom specia l ly appointed laborator ies,
