STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Dear Parents and Guardians, Term 2 is racing by as we head towards the last week– a busy time indeed! This is our reporting to parent’s time of year and reports go home at the end of this week, with our Parent –Teacher interviews taking place in the last week of term. The teachers have worked very hard at preparing reports – a lengthy process that requires many extra hours’ work. We are proud of the way our teachers apply themselves to this task and impressed by the amount of information they provide for parents. I encourage you to read the reports thoroughly – the most important information is on the inside as it outlines achievements and areas for improvement, with indications of the directions to be taken. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the amount of effort and dedication Lisa Taylor –Jones puts on to the Reporting process to ensure it is a smooth process. PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS Please note that Parent Teacher Interviews will be held On Tuesday June 21st. Bookings are at: www.schoolinterviews.com.au The event code for the interviews is:
s83k3 We hope you find the Parent / Teacher Interview(s) a valuable experience to discuss your child(ren)’s progress. Interviews are strictly 10 minutes long and spaces are limited. You are able to book a time with your child’s classroom teacher and, if you wish, with the Specialist teachers.Parents can change their interview bookings, any time prior to the closing date, by re-visiting the www.schoolinterviews.com.au website, and using the event code which is.

CURRICULUM DAY Our curriculum day on Friday with Jo Lange was a success and well received by staff. We all worked together throughout the day with the focus on classroom and outside strategies for positive behaviour management. We explored why students misbehave, the importance of connectedness to school and prevention strategies to reduce attention seeking. A key focus of the day was encouraging student motivation and independence to help build confident and resilient students. We will be working towards a consistent approach to positive school wide behaviour management throughout the remainder of the year.
END OF TERM A reminder that the last day of term is Friday June 26. On this day, students will be dismissed at 2:30pm. Please make arrangements to ensure that all students are picked up on time.

Review of
Newsletter
distribution:
We are reviewing the way we
send information home to
families via our weekly
newsletter. Options for reading
the newsletter could be from the
following: Tiqbiz app on your
phone/ipad/tablet/computer,
email or by clicking on the
newsletter link on the school
website.
From the commencement of
term three our school will no
longer be sending a paper copy
of the newsletter home to each
family. There will however, be
limited copies held at the office
for those unable to access an
electronic copy. This will
eventually be phased out as well.

Friday 24th June
The students of Roxburgh Park PS will be participating in the National Rose Nose Day. On this day students can come to school dressed in red, wearing a red nose (if you choose to buy one). It will be a gold coin donation on the day for being out of uniform. As of Wednesday 15th of June, students will be selling red noses and other products. They range in price from $3 for a red nose to $6 for a red nose teddy. We enjoy all students to get behind this cause as it raises money for the SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) foundation.
