Mrs. Ben Johnson returned last week from a visit at Halstad, Minn. Frank Schuman is in possession of a fine 60 H. P. Oldsmobile, and is mov- ing along the road at no slow rate. Mr. Schuman is one of the many suc- cesful farmers of this country. There will be a Christmas tree at Albert Strand and Miss Olson came over from Ellendale Friday night and met county superintendent Flemington and the party attended the lecture given by Professor Squires of Grand Forks. Theo. Mika of Rutland, roadmaster on the G. N., was in town Saturday. Ju'ius Stenzel arrived here from Minnesota Friday, continuing on his way to Fargo Sunday. Mr. Bergman and family of Straub- ville were in town Saturday. The following little mention is a clipping from a Nebraska newspaper which accidentally fell into the hands of a Ludden reader last week: "Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olthouse of Ludden, N. D., came in last week for a visit vith relatives here." Aha! Congratu- lations my boy. Stevens vice president, Nile Payton secretary and G. F. Grosahans treasurer. J. House, from east of Oakes, was a visitor at the Whitfield home the lat ter part of the week. Rev. L. H. Frojen of Litchvil'e was a brief caller at the burg Monday even- ing. Mrs. Julia Morse has been suffering from blood poisoning in one of her fingers this week. Marion Rasmussen is at the head of the list of the piano contestants. Mrs. Beistle left last week for her old home in Illinois. Three car loads of cattle and hogs were shipped out of here Saturdiay. A. A. Fladager and J. P. Larson were the buyers and shippers. Preaching services Sunday morning at ten, Sunday school at eleven and Epworth League at seven. Rev. J.
