DESCRIPTION
The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) says it's eliminating its bus stop to Brentwood at Civitan Ball Park on Concord Road because the city is no longer paying for costs. Brentwood Commissioner Anne Dunn said when the City of Brentwood received a request for RTA funding, it realized funding requirements would increase every year. Dunn said approximately 30-35 residents take the bus daily. The service costs more than $19,000 a year. According to the RTA schedule, the bus picks up Brentwood passengers at 6:38, 7:06 and 7:20 every weekday morning and drops them off at 4:41, 5:15, and 5:45 every weekday evening. Effective March 30th, a bus will no longer stop in Brentwood. July 1, RTA will also reduce the number of daily trips from three to two.

In recent weeks, the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) has been contacted by numerous passengers about service changes on this route. This notice is to communicate what the RTA is proposing, and explain the reason why.
Effective March 30, 2015, the RTA will discontinue service to the Brentwood Park & Ride lot on Concord Road. Furthermore, effective July 1, 2015, the number of daily trips will be reduced from three to two. We are not proposing to combine this route with Route 95X Spring Hill Express.
The RTA was created to serve a regional transit network and designed to be supported by member communities. Historically, this support has been implemented through a contribution formula whereby communities along each route pay a portion of the operating funds each year. These changes to Route 91X are a direct result of the City of Brentwood electing not to contribute to the operational costs of providing this service.
We are actively looking for another Park & Ride location in the Cool Springs area, and welcome your input and suggestions. If you know about a potential location in north Williamson County, please call or email us.
Eliminating the Brentwood stop will result in slightly later departure times from the Franklin Kroger in the mornings, and earlier arrivals in Franklin on the afternoon return trips. Below is the proposed schedule for the 91X Franklin Express.
