RTAC Quarterly Report

Current Needs:

Regional Summary:

Dr. Dunne will be stepping down as our chair and has recommended that Dr. Alexis Gage from Savannah to take over. She is excited to take over and will be reviewing the first draft of our Regional Trauma Plan in late August. We have completed STB in our region- Every school is trained and with tourniquets. We have been receiving a few requests to re-train staff and some questions now that the school year has started again. Hopefully a few school districts will jump on board with training the transportation systems.

We need to iron out how the RTAC is going to sit with the EMS Council- There is a lot of confusion on both ends on how this are going to work moving forward. We are in desperate need of more STB training kits- ours are well-loved and worn out. There have been a few kits with tourniquets that have ripped. There is need for office space at Memorial- but the trauma services office is currently overflowing. We need to get the FY2016 Regional Grant ironed out—the invoice has been submitted and we are waiting on this to be paid out.
