Point 1 RTI “Put Simply”

• HMRC want all employee data as quickly as possible

• All employers have to comply• All staff payments are reported to

HMRC• Reporting takes place on or

before the day the staff are paid• Accurate data MUST be provided

to HMRC

Point 2 “What HMRC Say”

• Employers Must be ready to act for April 2013

• Data cleansing – submit employee data to HMRC before RTI is live so HMRC can advise correct or incomplete data.

• Improve and maintain data quality– Make sure you obtain dates of birth, use full names and include addresses when employees are entered on your payroll.

• Speak to your payroll provider –Make sure they can deliver on RTI.
