• Different event setup from usual match days
• Broader spectator base – regional/national/international with different travel plans
• Managed access for residents and businesses
• Fanzone (improved spectator experience pre match) and community celebration
CHANGES
• New Resident Access Permits and New Transport Operations including managed A316 closure
• New temporary structures within Twickenham Stadium (North & West Car Parks)
• New parking arrangements
• Alternative use of Cardinal Vaughan School and Kneller Hall
• Match day Volunteers in Twickenham & Richmond – Visible presence, on hand to help

TRANSPORT ENHANCEMENTS for RWC MATCHES
• South West Trains capacity raised by 4,000 trips per hour
• 24Hr running on Piccadilly Line – 10 Bus shuttles to Boston Manor
• Bus Shuttle to Waterloo Station – 100 buses direct to Waterloo on exit
• Park and Ride Operations Kempton Park – 3,000+ car plus rail / bus shuttle Hounslow Civic Centre - 500 cars plus bus shuttle
• Promotion of National Express / Private Hire Coaches
• New taxi pick up / drop off points
• Travel Management/ Spectator Journey Planner - reduce and optimise

2Hrs after)
Closure done in consultation with TfL.
Wider Area, Local Area and Event Traffic accommodated
• Wider Area Traffic (80%) re-routed
Quicker journey times/less congestion

Permits for residents within the restricted area

FAN ZONEREQUIREMENT of ENGLAND 2015 as a HOST CITY
It must:• Hold a minimum capacity of 5,000 people
(capable of 10,000)• Be open for a minimum of 10 matches • Have large screens; stage; catering;
refreshments; sponsor space• Be free to enter when screening matches

• 18 September to 31 October • Enclosed/secure area; large marquee viewing tent;
activities• Match days - propose to show 19 matches – free
entry• ‘Non-Match’ days – propose 6 days of non-rugby
ticketed activities• Travel via public transport / foot – NO dedicated
parking • ‘Production Partner’ responsible for delivering
the Fan Zone - Underbelly
