State of Himachal Pradesh About Himachal Pradesh

The state of Himachal Pradesh also known as “Land of God” is situated in the western Himalayas and well surrounded by the several high mountains, streams and glaciers many of which have still not been scaled. The rich culture, tradition, warm and hospitable people, diverse climate and topography offers a variety of fairs, festivals and celebrations in Himachal. About 2000 deities are worshipped in Himachal and different fairs and festivals are held in their honour. Great destination for adventure seeker, riders and nature lover. RUCHI Campus

RUCHI has worked in the State of Himachal Pradesh since 1980. After covering more than 200 villages across state, RUCHI currently operates from present location. We are recognised “Technology Resource Centre” by GOI, we have successfully developed and promoted low cost construction technologies along with need based humanitarian projects in this area aiming to improve livelihood of under privileged. Being spread over 6 hectares we have infrastructure to conduct training and conference for more than 50 people at a time. Our complex is divided in three blocks.

1. Administration block. 2. Residential block 3. Demonstration block

Facilities at RUCHI RUCHI administrative block hosts office of The Executive Director, Accountant, Administrator and field staff. All trainings, volunteer orientation and conferences are organised here.

Accommodation

We are actively involved in facilitating training and field exhibitions for national and International youth. In due time we have developed enough infrastructure to host more than 50 persons at a time. Our LMTV volunteers stay at our campus on twin sharing basis. Accommodation type: Twin bed room with attached WC & bathroom, dormitory with shared WC & bathroom and twin bed rooms with shared bath & WC.

Dining facilities (Kitchen)

Within complex we operate our kitchen, where we provide our guests with traditional Indian meals. All meals are cooked and served fresh daily. With growing international volunteers we have included basic western and Chinese dishes in our menu.
