FMR90784_WIDB_ Phase1 Report.docx Page 2 of 20
Telemetry power taken from a new 6amp breaker installed on din rail within the pump control panel by A J Speechley.
4” tray-work routed around pump station to carry power and signal cables. Metal marshalling enclosure and tray-work connected to pump station earth system using 6mm earth cable. Upstream water level frame mounted over the drain. The frame had a 2 metre arm to span the drain so extra support was given to the assembly by bracing the existing handrail to the pump station wall.
Level Sensor Installed in stainless steel housing. Brass ODN marker bolted to floor.

Beggars Bridge PS01 (1 pump site / weed screen) Midi8 RTU wall mounted. 5db cellular whip antenna extended (5m) outside for better signal quality. Marshalling enclosure wall mounted. Switched fused spur installed (fitted 3Amp fuse)
Telemetry power taken from a spare 6amp breaker from the distribution board mounted within the pump control panel. Circuit breaker marked TELEMETRY.
4” tray-work routed around pump station to carry power and signal cables. Metal marshalling enclosure and tray-work connected to pump station earth system using 6mm earth cable. Upstream water level frame mounted over the drain. The level sensors 2 core SWA cable was routed around the drain within a 20mm galvanised conduit system. Upstream water level cable enters the pump station via the pump sump. We note the poor quality condition of the pump sump cover.

Wired door contact mounted and cabled back to marshalling enclosure, via the small IP rated junction box. Need to manufacture a small bespoke bracket to mount the wireless contact to the metal door frame.
Relays, contactors and current transformers installed within pump control panels
The Hand/Auto switch arrangement differed at to previous sites. Previous sites had a 230AVC supply turned on/off in the Auto switch position. This enabled us to operate the coil of our relay to genrate a volt free contact to mimic the auto position on the Telemetry. With certain “timed”scenarios (a combination of other swicth positions), the 230VAC supply on the auto switch is not available, the switch can be operated but no mains supply is turned on or off.

Lee-Dickens returned to site on Monday 24th April to meet with Matt Cullip of A J Speechley to investigate this matter further. After some time spent trying to understand the pump logic at site, it was decided it would be a cheaper solution to replace the Hand/Auto switches, replicating the current switch operation but providing Lee-Dickens with an auxiliary set of volt free contacts to be used to mimic each pump being IN AUTO or NOT IN AUTO. Where drilling has taken place within control panels, all drill and cabling debris has been swept and hoovered up. All power and signal cables have been routed around site and dressed into cabinets.
