Renewable or Non-Renewable?• Hydroelectricity is a renewable energy source.

• This is because no matter how much you use hydroelectricity, you can still use it again and the water will not stop being usable.

+Advantages+ It is a renewable energy source.

It doesn’t contribute to global warming.

It doesn’t contribute to acid rain either.

It is cheap to run once built.

It is readily available (it will always be generating electricity).

-Disadvantages- It can kill fishes.

It can destroy habitats of underwater life. It can cause flooding.

It is unsightly. It is expensive to build. Few areas are suitable.

Often times the builders must destroy towns to build the dams.
