After 40 years of working, I have learned a secret to happiness: be yourself.

What a remarkable year 2014 has been. Wanting to make a fresh start of things and to nurture some new ideas, I left a familiar and comfortable style of working and embarked on an exciting new path. I said goodbye to some amazing associates I have come to love over the years. This was not an easy decision but it was necessary to be true to myself.

I found myself turning to the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson for inspiration many times this year. His love of nature and his natural wonder for the world around him makes me think we would have been good friends. This entire look book is peppered with Emerson’s quotes. I hope you will hold on to this book for inspiration when you need it. Each piece in this collection is a reminder to celebrate your individual style.

Emerson’s words were the impulse for me to be true to my own path. You will see this reflected in this year’s collection; bright colors, bolder flowers, and individuality at every turn. Even this look book is a departure from my old format - larger and brighter pages are beckoning you to discover the riches within.
