Technical Skills

Millwright experienceInstallation of two, 224 inch Dekle Andritz crescent former tissue machines. Pre commissioning checks, post installation commissioning, inspection and verification of standards. Including steam, white water, stock prep and utilities. Installation and commissioning of Acelli Winder, roll wrapper, conveyors, and roll elevators. Certifications current from welding, laser alignment, rigging, threaded pipe, bearing, lube and pump classes. Spare oiler for the pulp mill & Woodyard. Spare area man for Clo2 plant. Ability to perform duties with a wide variety of precision tools such as veneer calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks and optical and laser alignment. Ability to work from prints, diagrams, specifications and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition, installation, overhaul of machinery and equipment using hand and power tools. Maintenance related tasks in connection with the maintenance, repair and/or improvement to equipment related to pulp and paper manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repairs of pumps, blowers, drives, heaters, dies, gearboxes and PLC's.

Disassemble, clean and reassemble production machinery. Including rigging requirements. Changing bearings on fan shaft and aligning sheaves, changing out motors on paper machines, aligning, removing, and replacing drive motors. Rebuilding grinders including unbolting, tearing apart, bolting together new frames then setting to proper elevation and alignment. Setting buckle plate, shoe and frame with cylinders. Replacement and repacking of bearings drive side and tending side, replacement of packing glands, resetting the shaft with the new grinder stone, and bolting up coupling.Work within dryer replacing studs and counterweights.

Carpentry experienceSteel framing, stick framing, concrete form work, sheetrock, roofing, scaffolding.

Piledriver experienceBuilding bridges, drilling underwater ledge, setting precast concrete, pouring concrete, cutting and welding steel I beams, building coffer damns, maintaining pumps, moving barge locations, and directing crane operator.
