Addition reactionsO 0060 Ruthenium-Catalyzed Decarboxylative Insertion of Electrophiles. — Various al-

lylic β-ketoesters undergo a regioselective tandem Michael addition/allylic alkylation with activated acceptors (II) or (XIII) in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst. This re-action proceeds via decarboxylative activation of the allylic β-ketoesters. The analo-gous palladium-catalyzed reactions afford the opposite regioisomers. — (WANG, C.; TUNGE*, J. A.; Org.
