DRS TRAINING & CONTROL SYSTEMS – Fort Walton Beach, Florida 2003 – 2008 Lead Field Service Engineer 2006 – 2008 Advanced by this defense electronics contractor to support a Beyond-Line-of-Site (BLOS), Iridium-based satellite telephone communications system, operated and maintained 20 FAC2E Pod Subsystems, and provided support and instruction to U.S. military personnel on Fighter Aircraft Command and Control Enhancement FAC2E System at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Provided review and assessment of system Concept of Operations for Program Manager. Setup and tested all systems including Iridium modems and Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio (MBITR)

AN/PRC-148 (V) (C) radio assemblies. Facilitated implementation of all flight line operational procedures including distribution, loading / unloading,

electro-mechanical interface and preflight testing. Authored and instituted group safety procedures, resulting in zero injuries during tenure on contract. Established a means for tracking, logging, storing, and disposing of all hazardous materials used in support

of the system. Developed maintenance criteria that delivered a 96% reliability rate for the system and amended the

training curriculum that assisted pilots and maintenance crews working on the system.

UDDS System Technical Lead 2005 – 2006 Chosen to support USAFE Range-less Interim Training System (URITS) ACMI System in Al Udeid AB, Qatar, and served as Technical Lead for the URITS Display and Debriefing System (UDDS). Supported joint training exercises conducted twice per year by the Gulf Air Warfare Center, Al Dhafra AB,

United Arab Emirates. Provided operations and maintenance of UDDS system, supporting post-mission debriefing of fighter pilots,

which included mission setup and loading of all software for mission profiles and authoring the UDDS System User’s Guide to provide a baseline for system setup during live training missions, which dramatically decreased the time required to setup daily missions and increased operational efficiency.

Facilitated system installation and use on F-15 Strike Eagle, F-16 Falcon, F-3 Tornado, and Mirage 2000-5 /-9 aircraft platforms.

Played a key role in the customer’s total satisfaction by personally setting up all missions and system configuration data, including post-mission debriefs on the UDDS system, contributing to a 95% reliability rate overall.

graphical user interface (GUI) system, Real-Time Monitor System (RTMS), providing real time TDMA data link display capability to GUI system, Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) Pod airborne subsystem using GPS/TSPI satellite positioning instrumentation.

Authored all user and maintenance manuals for all subsystem components; created Mission Setup guides, providing start to finish instructions for setting up all mission parameters.

Ensured the effective installation, testing, and usage of both ground and airborne system components,

which used TDMA data links, GPS/TSPI satellite positioning with inertial measurement instrumentation. Provided maintenance and operational direction on MRIS ACMI System to ROCAF personnel, serving as

the sole company representative for the system and leading concurrent training for the customer. Delivered on-site engineering, maintenance, and technical support during all aspects of system testing,

verification, and validation.

Engineer 2003 Engineering support for Multi-Functional Range Instrumentation System, Taiwan, Republic of China, assisting in development of system components, technical manuals, drawings, lesson plans, and training presentations. Performed highly accurate system electronic testing on the P4G Multi-Functional Instrumentation Pod

(AIM-120 Missile Configuration), P4M Multi-Functional Instrumentation POD (MAGIC Missile Configuration), and P4I Multi-Functional Instrumentation Plate Subsystem (internally mounted system configuration).

Conducted systems installation, integration and flight testing on the FCK-1 Indigenous Defense Fighter (IDF), F-16 Falcon, M2000-5 Mirage, F-5 Tiger II, EC-130 Hercules, and E-2T Hawkeye aircraft platforms.

GPS receivers, Digital Interface Units, Solid State Recorders, and upgrades on complex components and software systems.

Built rack systems with applicable drawings and interconnection; redesigned the isolation box assembly, which was used on all subsequent contracts requiring the AIP subsystem in both UAE and Taiwan.

Supported flight testing of the Pod subsystem on the Mirage 2005-5 aircraft platform.

EngineerEngineering support for Alaskan Air Combat Training System (ACTS) Upgrade at both Elmendorf Air Force Base and Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. Facilitated upgrade of P4BE Pod subsystem hardware components and software including Transponder

Interface Unit (TIU), the Digital Interface Processor Unit (DIPU), and the GPS Navigation Processor (GNP). Supported the Cope Thunder Air Combat Training exercise with nearly a 100% operational readiness for all

upgraded Pod Subsystems.

Engineering Technician 1995 – 2000 Played a pivotal role in numerous projects, personally handling all engineering work for contracts that included: Designed test bed for Honeywell Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) system integration and testing. Large Area Tracking Range (LATR), SAIC. EMI/EMC/environmental/compliance testing, calibration of

Advanced Digital Interface Unit (ADIU), and associated power supplies, power/signal conditioners. ECU-112 Power Supply. Development/fabrication of test fixtures, troubleshooting/repair, acceptance
