The PR 50 Evolution will astound you with its vast number of functions, and yet it is still unbelievably easy to operate. At home, at work. Out shopping or at a restaurant. Enjoying hobbies or on holiday. It turns on the spot. With a width of only 64 cm, you‘ll ea-sily fi t into any lift. You can even drive a car without swapping seats. The PR 50 is a class of its own, anywhere in the world.
The PR 50 is regarded worldwide as being state of the art when it comes to power wheelchairs. It is individually manufactured for you, down to the last detail. This is ensured by our clever modular system with countless special parts and hundreds of adjustment options. It is, for example, already equipped to take respiration ap-paratus, including special headrests and extra power supply. People without arms or thalidomide victims can also drive the wheelchair in complete safety and full control: instead of joysticks, we can fi t a chin-based or other special control system that is tailored to your needs.

Ergonomic seat PARAVAN orthopaedic special seat developed by experts. Integrated 3- or 4-point belt. Gas-sprung seat, relieves strain on the thigh muscles. Backrest with lumbar support offering 4 adjustment options for correct pelvis position. Armrests with 14 adjustment options. Electric seat slide. Asymmetric side members, adjustable, for example, when wearing thick winter clothing. Breathable Mesh-Tex seat cover (manufactured using nanotechnology) offers maximum seating comfort and prevents pressure sores (decubitus).
Lift and tiltUltra-stable electric scissor-lift from a height of 36 cm to 80 cm. Indispensable at offi ces or workshops. Seat tilts at the touch of a button for relaxing with your legs up, for better blood circulation, for weight redistribution now and again (to prevent pressure sores) and as a riser and transfer aid.
Joystick, motor, controlSteering, speed, secondary functions – effortlessly controlled with the joystick (for tetraplegics with special menu navigation). Two powerful propulsion motors for 6 or 10 km/h, fi ve silent actuators. The charger is plugged in at the joystick. Maintenance-free rechargeable gel batteries, which are also recharged when travelling downhill.
Chin-based and special control systemsChin-based, environment or other control systems – tailored to your personal medical condition.

Footrests with vibration damping
Shock-absorbing split footrests or individually detachable electric footrests–cushion vibrations and avoid spasms. Integrated individually adjustable lower leg supports, available with (optional) electric extension and folding feature.
No-compromise safety on the road
Integrated anti-tipper for greater safety. Puncture-resistant tyres with lengthwise grooved tread (optional: lug tread, pneumatic tyres). Excellent visibility at night thanks to LED or halogen headlights and rear lights. Stable tie-down lugs for securing in your car.

Drive the PR 50 Evolution directly into the car thanks to the remote-controlled ramp. In the car, the power wheelchair engages in the specially developed PARAVAN docking station. The docking station automatically connects the wheelchair electronics to the vehicle electronics, so your wheelchair batteries are charged by the docking station too. The wheelchair becomes a fully functional driver’s seat, complete with a seat belt. We modify the vehicle to suit your precise needs. The PR 50, which passed the crash test in accordance with regulation ECE-R 17 with fl ying colours, has full EU approval. The PR 50 Evolution can also be docked as a front or rear passenger seat, or secured with universal tie-down lugs.

The PARAVAN contoured seat system Even the standard version of our new PR 30 power wheelchair comes with the specially developed PARAVAN contoured seat system. This system allows you to choose from nine individual confi gurations of backrest (height 52, 63 or 71 cm) and seat sur-face (seat depth: 40–54 cm). Also included are a seat baseplate with seat cushion, a manually folding backrest (an electric option is also available), an integrated backplate with threaded inserts (e.g. for infusion holders or pushing aids), an adjustable headrest, multi-adjustable armrests, as well as the “Monte Carlo” easy-care fabric seat cover embroidered with the PARAVAN logo.

A vision becomes reality At the Rehacare 2011 trade fair in Düsseldorf, our study into an innovative standing wheelchair created a real sensation. Since then, we have been pressing ahead with this fl agship project, working in cooperation with customers with restricted mobility, ergotherapists, physiotherapists and professors from well-known clinics. The design incorporated the latest fi ndings from mecha-nics, mechatronics, neurological and geriatric rehabilitation, and medical research. With the PARAVAN Biolution, a vision has become reality.

The strongest member of our power wheelchair product rangeWe specially developed this exceptional power wheelchair with obese customers in mind. People weighing up to 270 kg will have no problem getting about with the PR 10. The chassis has been made wider, the wheelbase lengthened, and the construc-tion strengthened. Seats measuring up to 70 cm in width can be fi tted.
According to the latest studies in the US, patients are getting heavier and heavier. There are not many manufacturers in the world who are responding to the need that this creates. With the new PR 10 Heavy Duty, we have developed a robust solution in every sense of the word–just as you would expect of PARAVAN.One particularly important feature is that this ingenious mode of transport does not exceed the standard dimensions of daily life.
