EXERCISE 1 / Editing Sentences for Pronoun Case. Edit the following sentences to correct
any errors in PRONOUN case. If an item does not have an error in pronoun case, write correct

EXAMPLE
1. Don Draper, the lead character in Mad Men, has a mysterious past. In fact, there’s no other
character in the series as mysterious as him.
2. Set in an advertising agency on New York City’s Madison Avenue, the show traces conflicts
among Draper and his colleagues as well as between he and various women.
3. Comparing Mad Men with The Sopranos, The Wire, and Friday Night Lights, some critics felt
it wasn’t as good as them.

girl” Peggy Olson, one report found that women viewers identified more with Betty than she.
9. Years later, when Don marries Megan, he feels threatened by her career, and there’s
constant tension between he and Megan.
10. Although Weiner has been praised for the show’s visual style and authentic period details, him
and his writers have been criticized for not addressing gender and race issues more directly.
