World Governance Expedit ion (WGE) is an exper ient ia l andimmersive learning programme in pol icy-making and governance.WGE invites young leaders and change-makers to study bestgovernance pract ices internat ional ly and explore ways ofincorporat ing them in the Indian context . After f ive successfuledit ions in   USA (2016) , UK (2017) Israel (2018 & 2019) and Russ ia(2019) , V is ion India Foundat ion is organiz ing the s ixth edit ion toSingapore . The expedit ions to Israel and Russ ia were organized inpartnership with the Embassy of Israel and the Embassy of Russ iarespect ively . Arunima Gupta is Senior Manager - Strategic and Foreign Relationsat Vision India Foundation. She pursued Master's in InternationalRelations from Leiden University, the Netherlands. Prior to joiningVIF, Arunima worked with the Ministry of External Affairs . She haswritten for various national and international media platforms onvarious foreign policy themes focussing on strategy and soft power.She has also given commentaries on India's foreign policyengagements for the national news channel - CNN- News18.

Aaruni Shrivastava, is currently working with rural communitiesto set them a vicarious trai lblazer in society for an equal socio-economic and personal growth. After having 7+ years of workexperience with two different organisations he realised hisinclination towards social development through public policiesand he joined Barefoot College as a contributor. AaruniShrivastava has been trained in engineering and music, whichhas been invigorating him as a person and providing a multi-dimensional stimulation to minimise any hurdle or problem, inreal l i fe.

Aditya Barrela is the CEO of Audisankara Group overseeingstrategy and operations for Audisankara Engineering Colleges,Skil l Development Centers and the newly launched AudisankaraInnovation and Incubation Center located in Nellore, AndhraPradesh. Aditya brings consulting experience in investmentpromotion, public policy and international relations and has alsowork towards Accelerating Sustainable Production in India incollaboration with WEF. Very early into his career he had workedtowards tackling the UN’s SDGs through senior roles atinternational non profits across Europe. In his free time Adityavolunteers as a coach, faci l itator and Heartfulness trainer.

AKANKSHA MALA I Y A

Akanksha Malaiya is a student of B.A.LL.B (Hons.) Sem. 7 at Dr.Harisingh Gour University (Sagar) . She is the Secretary of VicharSanstha, an NGO working for the development of the city ofSagar. She has been actively involved in social services in thefields of education, heathcare, hygiene, women empowernment,environment and agriculture working with 61 schools. Akankshawas a delegate of the Policy BootCamp, organized by VisionIndia Foundation in 2018 where she was introduced to thedomain of public policy and governance. Looking at a future inactive polit ics, she is seeking to gain further exposure regardingpublic policy, education systems and cultures of differentsocieties.

Anup Tripathi is currently working as Assistant Professor in theDepartment of Social Sciences, FLAME University, Pune. He didhis PhD and Master's in Social Work from the Tata Institute ofSocial Sciences, Mumbai and Bachelor's in Polit ical Science fromthe University of Delhi . Prior to joining FLAME University, heworked as Assistant Manager (Community Development) at CoalIndia Limited, a public sector undertaking of the Government ofIndia. Anup teaches courses in Sociological Theory, IndianSociety and Culture, Environmental Impact Assessment andUrban Sociology. He has worked as a researcher on severalresearch projects. He is interested in working on the issues ofurban poor, housing and environment. He l ikes travell ing,reading and cooking.

Ashutosh Pati l is pursuing BA-LLB (Honors) program fromSymbiosis Law School , Pune. He is a di l igent, determined, hard-working and ambitious person having a pragmatic approach tolife. CHANDRASEKAR VENKA TARAMAN

Chandrasekar is a technical analyst working in Citigroup. Heholds a bachelor’s degree from NIT, Trichy. At work, he isresponsible for a platform that runs over 400+ business crit icalapplications for Citibank. Proven abil ity in design andimplementation of key technologies in an agile and securemanner. He has a demonstrated experience in 2 governmentresearch organizations and a private healthcare f irm. Hefounded the Toastmaster chapter in Citi Chennai . Outside work,his interests l ie in photography, travel and swimming. He hasvolunteered for Chennai Photo Bienalle (Photography festival) asa photography instructor and at Aarushi (a social organization tohelp the under-privi leged). He is an avid interest with interestsin history and f iction.

HARSHA L SONAWANE

Harshal Sonawane is currently pursuing master's in ClimateChange and Sustainabil ity Studies from TATA Institute of SocialSciences, Mumbai. He did his under-graduation in PolymerEngineering from Pune. He's also pursuing a postgraduatediploma in Environmental Law and Policy from National LawUniversity, Delhi . Currently, he's working on his master's thesison the theme of Climate Finance. Being a student of ClimateChange discipline which is one one of the biggest internationalproblem, He is keenly interested in global environmentalgovernance. He's aspiring to represent India's cl imate stand onclimate change. He f irmly believes that the problem of ClimateChange should be addressed using international equity andjustice.

Mohit is a member of one of the premier most civi l services inIndia- Indian Police Service, working as Superintendent of PoliceNarayanpur supervising 7000+ force He has been conferred oneof the highest honors for bravery in India– 1st Bar to PoliceMedal for Gallantry for strategically planning and leadingsuccessful anti- insurgency operations. He was given theprestigious National Award for enabling free, fair and peacefulelections. Sai Sidhartha Namburi is a 2018 graduate in MechanicalEngineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science,Pilani . He is very passionate about bringing a transformation inthe agriculture landscape of India. From August 2018 to August2019, he worked as a research fel low under Mr. V.V.LakshmiNarayana (Indian Police Service) taking up multiple projectsrelated to agriculture and rural development in the Indian statesof Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He is working(jointly) on an battery vehicle mobil ity system inhis hometown of Warangal in addition to building a model farm.He has written multiple articles on Indian polit ics and policy inthe past couple of years.

Nischala pursued Bachelors in Architecture fol lowing which shegained 3 years experience in the f ield as an intern and projectmanager, she is seeking to expand her operational knowledge towork in the development of our public spaces and belongs tothe town of Hyderabad. Nob Tsering is currently working as the Assistant Director in theDepartment of Disaster Management, Government o ArunachalPradesh. He belongs tothe Monpa Tribe of Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Pawan Kumar Varma is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institutefor Global Development is a Law (DU) and Managementgraduate(IMI) with a more than two decades of extensive experiencein systems and processes of development sector. He has workedwith CIET, NCERT, Government of India on content developmentprojects and on Information Systems of a Multinational (Whirlpoolof India) before joining the development sector with MAMTA HealthInstitute for Mother and Child in 2001. Sreeja Kundu is a business journalist at Mint with over two yearsof experience in policy research. She has explored the art ofpolicymaking in various institutions through her internships andwork experiences. Her stint at The Office of U.S Senator KirstenGil l ibrand brought her close to understanding policies at thegrassroots level where she has worked closely with theconstituents of New York. Her work at the Ministry of Electronicsand IT enabled her to understand the practical implications ofpolicymaking where she has contributed to research projectsand government campaigns. With the WGE, she hopes to graspthe best practices of policymaking that contributes toSingapore’s growth model.

SURYABHAN HEMANTRAO J ADHAV

Suryabhan is a Development Associate with Vision IndiaFoundation working on electoral polit ics. An aspiring polit icalleader and grassroots worker, Suryabhan has closely workedwith tribal communities of Gujarat and with the Government ofRajasthan. He has successfully mobil ised local communities andled developmental init iatives in his constituency - Satara,Maharashtra such as making his vi l lage, drought-free region. Hepreviously worked in Gandhi Fellowship, for strategically helpinggovernment school headmasters to build their capacity asleaders also supporting teachers improve learning outcomes ofchildren and engaging with communities on multipledevelopment projects.

Swapnil Arun Gawande is a Trustee and Secretary of DeeshaEducation Foundation, a non-profit based out of Amravati ,Maharashtra. He started a chain of Deesha Eye Banks in variousdistricts of Maharashtra and facil itated around 3700 eyedonations. He also started a chain of Mobile Eye Care Unit forproviding eye care to remote and rural areas. He has close to 10 years of comprehensive workexperience in the f ields of Electronics and IT.
