Stott Pilates®, in particular ,has based all exercises on biomechanical principles of movement working to balance and restore the natural curves of the spine. Benefits include increased body awareness, strength , flexibility and improved posture. Pilates Tone- Learn and practice the 5 Pilates principles and apply them to the essential pilates exercises. Beginners and experienced welcomed. Options provided to work out at your own intensity. This class will incorporate a variety of equipment including rollers, fitness circles, weighted balls, bands, Fit Balls, TRX, etc. TRX Fusion- TRX is a workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. TRX challenges strength and stability and enhances flexibility and range of motion. TRX yoga, pilates, and traditional strength training exercises are included. Y-A-A-Booty– Yoga+Abs+Arms+Booty. This blended class uses the disciplines of Traditional Strength Training, Pilates, and Yoga for a total body workout. Fitness and Fun! Yoga Yoga is a 5000 year old tradition originating in India. It has found its way West and gained popularity over the past century due to its many benefits. Hatha Yoga focuses on the practice of various physical postures: forward bends, back bends, side bends, balancing poses, twists, and inversions. It is also concerned with the teaching of proper breathing techniques, postural alignment, meditation and relaxation. Ashtanga Yoga/ Vinyasa Flow- You will generate lots of heat and movement with this dynamic and flowing yoga system. Ashtanga is a traditional sequence while Vinyasa Flow varies the postures that are linked. Iyengar Style Hatha Yoga– Traditional yoga focused on body alignment:; incorporating a balance of all poses, a variety of breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation. Taught in the style originated by Mr. Iyengar. Hatha Yoga– Traditional yoga focused on body alignment:; incorporating a balance of all poses, a variety of breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation. Pre-natal Yoga– See Stress Buster/ Relaxation below. Stress Buster/ Relaxation Yoga and Pre-natal Yoga– Stress Buster Yoga is a class focused on flexibility, breathing, and supported postures. Designed to release and relax both body and mind. A great class for those wanting to relief from everyday aches and pains, who are new to yoga, or who want to let go of stress and tension. Props are used to provide support and modifications for those in need. This is a restorative class and is perfect for the pre-natal participant as they prepare for childbirth and motherhood. Instructors are trained in pre-natal yoga and provide all options needed for pre-natal participants. Yoga Gold– This class is designed for participants who may have challenges performing seated/lying floor yoga poses. All poses are performed seated in a chair or standing. Modifications are provided so participants may experience the benefits of yoga while working within their own ability. Great for seniors or those with mobility limitations. Bliss Kids Programs A great opportunity for your child to experience the benefits of yoga in a fun and creative way; stretch, strengthen, breathe, and play. Kids and family yoga classes and camps will be scheduled and listed in our workshop listings. Classes may also be offered as a private group session upon request.
