APPLICATION PROCESS AT CCHS

• Speak to your Agent or us directly about the possibility of studying in Canada as an International Student.

• Research about our college online: www.thecanadiancollege.ca

• Submit an International Student Registration form to our college with an updated Resume (CV), Statement of Purpose and $150CDN Registration fee.

• Provide the $150 CDN non-refundable application fee by Demand Draft or by Credit Card. (*Demand drafts must be made payable to UWIN Pro Business & Technology Solutions)

• You will receive an Offer Letter on behalf of the Canadian College for Higher Studies which has to be provided to the Visa office when applying.

• We will try our best to assist you with the Visa application process.

• International applicants are required to pay an additional fee of $350 prior to arrival.

• After payment, an Official Letter of Acceptance and payment receipt from CCHS will be provided. The payment should be made payable to Canadian College for Higher Studies by a certified bank draft or by bank transfer to our bank account in Toronto, Canada.

• On visa Approval, begin preparing for your studies in Canada (ie. Obtaining Medical Insurance, Arranging Accommodation, Preparing Financially, etc).

• Once you have received the Visa, promptly inform us with your flight details and medical insurance information. Also inform us about airport pickup and housing so that we may assist you before your arrival to Canada.

• As you plan for your studies in Toronto, Ontario, the College will stay in touch with you to ensure your trip is successful.

NETWORK ENGINEERING DIPLOMA

The Network Engineering Diploma focuses on Unix system andnetwork administration, networking, shell scripting, databases andapplication servers. You will learn how to set up a network with Unixservers, install and configure application servers, performancemonitoring and automating activities in large enterprise networks.

• Prerequisites

English Proficiency: This applies to those candidates for whom English is nottheir first language in their home country. You will need to have given IELTS(International English Language Testing System) Academic Exam with a scoreof minimum 6.0 bands with no less than 5.5 bands in each section (Reading,Writing, Listening and Speaking).

You may also give TOEFL (Test Of English as Foreign Language) instead ofIELTS with a minimum score of 72 in TOEFL IBT. If none of the aboveconditions for English Proficiency is satisfied than you need to do a 3 month English course after your arrival in Canada or at a reputable organization inyour home country following an English test provided by us.

An updated Resume (CV) and Statement of Purpose must also besubmitted to us.

• Basic Computer Skills:

You should have the basic computer skills and interest in Networking.

• Minimum Education:

You must have successfully passed high school.

• Additional Asset:

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) with a good score is an additional (notcompulsory) asset on your side getting more chances of admission in thecollege.

APPLYING FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCY

• You will need to gather certain documents to obtain your first Permanent Resident Card, or replace one that is expired, lost or stolen. Collect these documents as early as possible, especially if you plan to travel soon.
