Please find these resources on the school website.

Mark-making/sensory activities Physical activities Sensory activities can be extremely motivating and can help your child to self-regulate.

Use the ‘Split Pin Goats’ printable worksheet to make your own goat puppets with moving legs. You could use these to help you to role play the story. You could collage or paint your goats to bring them to life!

Make a blue ‘river’ sensory bottle (or any colour you can find) using items around the house. Things that look great in a sensory bottle (if available) – oil, glitter glue, food colouring, powder paint, washing up liquid, glitter, sequins, beads, etc. Then add water to make the sensory bottle come alive!

Play with your food! Can you make a pizza with a scary troll face? What toppings will you choose?

Why not try some messy art to make a troll picture? Do some abstract painting then add facial features.

Physical activity is great to keep our minds active and burn lots of energy!

Have a dance to this Billy Goats Gruff song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSST2cH_fH8&safe=trueIn the story the goats move around in different ways by climbing over the bridge, going fast and slow and walking on their tiptoes. Can you do any of these?

There is a lovely musical version of the story with simple actions on BBC iPlayer called ‘Happy Tent Tales’https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p064kjkd/happy-tent-tales-3three-billy-goats-gruff

‘Little Yoga Stars’ is a kid’s yoga channel on YouTube. They have a themed session based on the story with simple actions to copy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6vHyqYiH-8&safe=true

Weekly learning projects Grow your own troll! Make a yoghurt pot cress head (see printable instructions with visual supports on the school website) and decorate with a scary troll face! Make sure you care for your troll all week by giving it plenty of water and sunlight.
