Leader in MeLesson 1: core paradigm: There is greatness in everyone. Talk about how the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. Like the caterpillar each of us has something special or some type of greatness inside that grows as we learn new things. This book will help you discover special things about you.

I will share one special thing about me. Then the children will share one thing special about yourself with your partner.Give children their Leader in Me book. Tell them this is your book. You can write in it. You can draw in it. There is a butterfly in it I would like you to color with lots of colors. Everyone has created a different butterfly. Like our butterflies, there is something different, special and important about all of us. This year we are going to use our special talents to do great things as a class.
