Psalm 56B You Have Recorded All My Ways (All Hail the Power)

You have recorded all my waysAll pathways that I tookWithin your bottle placed my tearsAre they not in your book

When I cry out then my foes fleeI know God is for me

In God whose Word I give my praiseThe Lord’s Word I revereIn God I now have put my trustSo I will have no fearIn God is where my trust will beWhat can man do to me

Your vows are binding on me, GodI’ll render thanks to youFor you have saved my soul from deathMy feet from stumbling, tooSo I will walk before God’s sightWith life and in its light

Scripture Reading Psalm 75; Luke 17:20-37

Corporate Prayer of ConfessionO God, have mercy upon us according to your covenant faithfulness. We confess our sin before you—we have fallen short of your glory, pursued the praise of men, sought after treasures of this world that do not satisfy, thought too highly of ourselves, proved to be impatient with others, and have neglected your Word. O God, please forgive us. Enable us to sense the weight of our sin, that we might know your amazing grace. Humble your people, and transform us by the renewing of our minds—that, in all things, Christ would be preeminent. We ask this for your glory and our good, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon Ephesians 1:7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Hymn Jesus, Lover of My Soul #508 (1-4)

Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to thy bosom flyWhile the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is high

Page 4: s3.amazonaws.com  · Web viewWayside Kids (infant–5th grade) exists to come alongside parents to provide a biblically-based, Christ-centered environment to faithfully plant and

Hide me, O my Savior, hide, till the storm of life is pastSafe into the haven guide, O receive my soul at last

Other refuge have I none, hangs my helpless soul on theeLeave, ah! leave me not alone, still support and comfort meAll my trust on thee is stayed, all my help from thee I bringCover my defenseless head with the shadow of thy wing

Thou, O Christ, art all I want; more than all in thee I findRaise the fallen, cheer the faint, heal the sick, and lead the blindJust and holy is thy name; I am all unrighteousnessFalse and full of sin I am, thou art full of truth and grace

Plenteous grace with thee is found, grace to cover all my sinLet the healing streams abound; make and keep me pure withinThou of life the fountain art, freely let me take of theeSpring thou up within my heart, rise to all eternity

Westminster Confession of Faith Ch. 33.3Leader: How do you make good use of Christ’s second coming? People: As Christ would have us to be certainly convinced that there shall be a day of judgment, both to deter all men from sin; and for the greater consolation of the godly in their adversity: so will He have that day unknown to men, that they make shake off all worldly security, and be always watchful, because they know not at what hour the Lord will come; and may ever be prepared to say, “Come, Lord Jesus, come quickly. Amen.”

Prayer of Intercession

Tithes & Offerings 1 Timothy 6:18-19For they are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Genesis: Foundations for a Biblical Worldview

“The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah”Genesis 19:14–38

The Sacrament of the Lord’s SupperThe outer ring of the tray is wine; the inner rings are juice.

Hymn How Great Thou Art #44 (1-4) O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonderConsider all the worlds thy hands have madeI see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Refrain:Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to theeHow great thou art, how great thou artThen sings my soul, my Savior God to theeHow great thou art, how great thou art

When thro’ the woods and forest glades I wanderAnd hear the birds sing sweetly in the treesWhen I look down from lofty mountain grandeurAnd hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze

And when I think that God, his Son not sparingSent him to die, I scarce can take it inThat on the cross, my burden gladly bearingHe bled and died to take away my sin

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamationAnd take me home, what joy shall feel my heartThen I shall bow in humble adorationAnd there proclaim, my God, how great thou art

Benediction Jude 24–25Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
