Righteous God, you have crowned Jesus Christ as Lord of all. We confess that we have not bowed before him, and are slow to acknowledge his rule. We are sending care packages to Paxton’s college age students. We will be assembling these packages at our first meeting in Decem-ber, so we want to start collecting items in November. Please consider donating a treat for our hard working students such as: cook-ies, mints, gum, snack foods, coloring books, $5 Starbucks cards or anything else that will help them through their stressful finals. There will be a collection bin in the Gathering Room. Deadline for donations is Dec 1st. Thank you. If you have a child in college, please e-mail their mailing address to us ([email protected]) or the church office([email protected]) so we can get them a package.

BAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT

Cookie Trivia: Sand tarts date back to the Pennsylvania Ger-

mans of the mid-1800s. It is believed they were originally

called "Saint hearts" and later "sand hearts."

This year's cookie sale will be held Saturday, December

12th. If you are interested in participating, please stop by the Great Room after

services today. There will be recipes and sign-up sheets. We look forward to see-

ing you.

If you have any questions or would like to sign-up, contact Janice Hutchison 564-

3988.

Your people Israel, and for Jesus Christ in whom Your fullness dwells. Born of Mary, He shares our life.

People: Eating with sinners, He welcomes us. Leader: Guiding His children, He leads us. People: Visiting the sick, He heals us. Leader: Dying on the cross, He saves us. People: Risen from the dead, He gives new life. Leader: Therefore we praise You, joining our voices with choirs of angels and with

all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of Your name.

SANCTUS (Sung by Choir) Unison: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Our father

who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the king-dom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

AGNUS DEI (Sung by Choir) THE WORDS OF INSTITUTION

THE COMMUNION As we celebrate communion, we have the opportunity to serve one another. This reflects our belief in the priesthood of all believers. When you pass the tray to the person next to you, quietly say, “The body of Christ broken for you,” or, “The blood of Christ shed for you.” An appropriate response is simply, “Amen.” There should be no rush; take time to serve one another.

Bread: In silence, wait and receive together Cup: You may receive as you are served.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING WITH US TODAY! We are happy to share this Sun-day with you and hope you come back soon! Please fill out the yellow card and be sure to include your name, address, and phone number for our records. If you are interested in membership at Paxton Church, please indicate this when the friendship folder is passed or speak to the Pastor or Lector following worship. THE USHERS joyfully serving the month of November: Steven Barnes, Captain; Janice Barnes, Keith Birth, Charles Cain, Michael DeRemer, James Knight, Penny Knight, Hung Nguyen, Robert Martin and Brenda Martin THERE ARE TWO FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS in the chancel this morning. One is placed in memory of Thomas Miller, Thomas Blair Miller, William Miller and in honor of Jeanne Miller by Patty Bowers. The other arrangement is placed to the Glory of God who holds in heaven our beloved son, Jonathan Alexander Baer Scott, by David and Kristin Scott.

TODAY Pastor Green will greet at the south door. The lector will greet at the porch door and an usher will greet at the parlor door.

HEARING DEVICES are available on the table as you enter the sanctuary through the parlor door. Please see an usher if you need assistance.

From the Property Management Ministry.... Property Management would like to remind members of the church who have a security code for the alarm system to make sure you enter your correct code when entering and leaving the church. There is a delay before the alarm is activated to enter your code and there is also a delay after entering your code to leave the building. We recommend you enter the building at the double doors marked as D3, since the pad to deactivate the alarm is beside the light switch. Please make sure no one else is in the building if you are the one responsible to set the alarm. When the police respond to a false alarm, the church gets billed for that response, which currently is $100. If they respond to anymore false alarms, the price doubles. If any member of the church would like more information on the security alarm sys-tem, please contact Dave Elder or the church office.

A special meeting of the Corporation is scheduled for Sunday, December 6, 2015, for the purpose of approv-ing the Pastor’s Terms of Call for 2015. A Stated Meeting of the Congregation is also called for that day for the purpose of receiving the Pastor’s Terms of Call for 2016, the election of officers and at-large members of the Nominating Committee for 2016, and presentation of the 2016 budget.
