He offers us the same chance to drink from His cup. In the bread and wine, we meet Christ personally. If we follow Him, drinking from His cup means our own self sacrifice, using all of our gifts for the benefit of others and to do his work on earth. FOR YOUR INFORMATION

From the Pastor’s Desk: This Friday is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart, the Patron of Sacred Heart Parish. Focusing on Jesus’ heart is a reminder that, through Jesus, God’s love for the world and for each of us is unending. We remember that each of us is a beloved child of God. Just as our parents show how much they love us, God also cares for us. Because of Jesus’ great love for us, we are strengthened by that love to show our care and concern for others. How do we show that love-to God, and to one another? Please join us for Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Friday June 11, at 5:00 pm. We will have a potluck supper afterwards. Annual Bishop’s Appeal: Thank you to all who have made a commitment to the 2021 Annual Bishop’s Appeal. 44 households out of 229 from St. Mary, Orwell and 44 households out of 124 from Sacred Heart, Rock Creek have responded. This is 90.1146% of the goal for St. Mary Parish and 63.782% of the goal for Sacred Heart Parish. However we need the support of every member of our parishes if we are to be successful in reaching our parish goals of 10,900 for St.Mary and 11,700 for Sacred Heart. If you have not made your commitment, please return, your commitment as soon as possible. Fr. John Madden is retiring from active priesthood effective July 1, 2021.
