New Church Wheelchair Lift PlanNew Church Wheelchair Lift PlanNew Church Wheelchair Lift Plan
The new lift will be placed to the right of the side entrance nearest Main St., between the downspouts as pictured below. The new wheelchair lift will be enclosed and will service both the lower and upper churches. We currently have $11,590 in the elevator fund. We’re hoping to raise enough funds from this year’s Grand Annual campaign to make the lift a reality. The pictures shown above of the lift entrance, vestibule, and basement level landing, were taken at West Medford Baptist Church.

Today’s readings are filled with inspiration and instruction. Isaiah reminds us that we no longer walk in darkness. For us, the ‘great light’ he speaks of is Jesus Christ. In the second reading, Saint Paul urges the community to “be united in the same mind and in the same purpose” and “let there be no division among you.” In the gospel, Jesus invites the first Apostles: “"Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." Do you see yourself as a fisher of men/women? Each of the readings offers us good advice for our time! Which one is God inviting you to give attention to in your life?

Las lecturas de hoy están llenas de inspiración y nos instruyen. Isaías nos recuerda que ya no caminamos en obscuridad. Para nosotros, la ‘gran luz’ de la que Isaías habla es Jesucristo. En la segunda lectura, San Pablo anima a la comunidad a “Estad bien unidos con un mismo pensar y un mismo sentir” y “a que no haya división entre ustedes” en el Evangelio, Jesús invita a los primeros apóstoles: “Venid en pos de mí y os haré pescadores de hombres”. ¿Te ves a ti mismo como un “pescador de hombres”? cada una de las lecturas nos ofrece una buena recomendación para nuestros tiempos! ¿En cual es en la que te invita a prestar toda atención para tu vida?
