Rapid ePS RAPID EPS is a new company offering a revolutionary edge protection system to the global building and construction industries. RAPID EPS differs from other products as it is the quickest and most effective system of edge protection, with the reassurance of full compliance to BS EN 13374:2004 for Class A protection. RAPID ePS trenchguard edge Protection SystemRAPID EPS has produced the Trenchguard Edge Protection System for the trenching and shoring industries. Trenchguard has been designed to protect work personnel from open evacuations and falling debris. This is lightweight for ease of use by site operatives and quick installation when used in conjunction with post and clamps. Trenchguard is a revolutionary system and conforms to the latest temporary edge protection BS EN 13374.2004. It also has a built in toe board to prevent debris from falling onto operatives below.

RAPID ePS edge Protection SystemIn 2007, the team behind RAPID EPS began to explore the possibility of constructing an edge protection system with a telescopic post. This leap forward in design would make the system quick to install without the need for tools.

They explored several novel ideas, creating the prototype of the telescopic design, which the company’s existing RAPID POST is now based on. Recognising its potential early on, RAPID EPS’s founders applied to the patent office in early 2007 and now have patent-pending on the RAPID POST, plus registered design.

Through customer feedback the RAPID POST has seen several changes in the past three years. Significantly, a switch from square to round profile made the telescopic post much more versatile for use within the scaffolding and construction industry.

Key features• Fully compliant with BS EN 13374:2004 for Class A Protection• Its ‘rapid’ construction (it can be assembled 10 times faster than existing

drill & fix systems) is possible in part because it requires no tools or drilling and minimal training

Reuse-A-Wall™Reuse-A-Wall™ has been developed to provide a cost-effective, safe, flexible and reusable internal hoarding system to precisely suit the demands of shop-fitting, refurbishment and fit-out projects.

This is a sustainable product made from 85% of recycled plastic and made from recycled UPVC windows. Octink has been working with Reuse-A-Wall™ extensively in UK supermarket refurbishment and fit-outs.

PoLMIL™POLMIL™ fencing is designed and manufactured by Blok N Mesh UK Ltd – supplier of perimeter security fencing (Olympic Venues) to the London 2012 Olympic Games and the 2013 Counter terrorism show. This very capable on-ground system is highly suited to protecting temporary perimeters and sensitive areas of high profile events and important construction sites where an alternative to post-in-ground fencing is preferred, or a ‘no dig’ policy is in force for safety reasons.

Every site presents a fence line with different challenges and obstacles to overcome. The POLMIL™ system is modular, and sufficiently flexible to maintain seamless security integrity whether deployed on undulating parkland, angular urban streets or sandy beaches. POLMIL™ systems have been rigorously tested, utilised, and proven compatible, with leading CCTV and Perimeter Intruder Detection Systems (PIDS) on multiple global event venues.

Key Features• The fence panels are independent of the ballast

because, on sloping ground, the ballast needs to adopt the gradient – but the panel is required to be held vertically

GreenHoard®

GreenHoard® is a brand new product from Octink that provides a superior alternative to a traditional timber and plywood hoarding. The revolutionary design utilises a recycled steel framework and recycled plastic to create the first 100% sustainable, British Standards certified hoarding. The design complies with BS 8903 for sustainability, it is reusable, recyclable and it can save you money.

GreenHoard® uses a steel base framework and is structurally compliant with BS 6399, which means your hoarding will be secure for the life of the development. The structure is secured through a variety of fixing options including in-ground, portable or mechanical surface plate fixings. The foundation specification is determined by your site location and likely service life of the hoarding. All of the fixing options allow for a quick and easy installation and subsequent removal of the hoarding.
