What to expect:

We organise weekly meditation programmes in various parts of UAE. These are nearly one hour meditation sessions with an audio or a video talk given by Shri Mataji, instrumental music along with a guided collective meditation in a relaxed atmosphere. It is purely meditation and should not be understood as some form of physical exercises. You simply need to feel comfortable; you can sit on chair or carpeted floor.

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi was born on March 21, 1923, in Chindawara, India. When she was young, Shri Mataji worked with Mahatma Gandhi in the fight for India's Independence. Her vision of universal peace and unity continues his dreams on a spiritual level. To fully understand the human body's systems, Shri Mataji studied medicine at Lahore Medical College. Ultimately, her knowledge led her to develop Sahaja Yoga, the basis for Sahaja Meditation. Since then, she has travelled extensively to educate and enlighten people all over the world.

Shri Mataji has had the honorific "Mother" bestowed upon her in recognition of her strength, love and devotion. Known as a dynamic and charismatic speaker, as well as a gifted teacher, Shri Mataji continues to spread her message of peace and unity to audiences everywhere.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is best understood as a state of ‘mental silence’ in which one is fully alert and aware but free of the unnecessary thoughts or worries that lead to many of life’s daily stresses. This state of silence occurs spontaneously when one learns how to focus on the experience of the present moment, leading to a state of peace and calm. Through a simple process, known as Self-Realisation (kundalini awakening) this meditation state can be quickly established, maintained and, most importantly, enjoyed!

About Sahaja Yoga Meditation

Sahaja Yoga is a method of meditation which brings a breakthrough in how to achieve ‘thoughtless awareness’. It was founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970 and is now practised worldwide. As the potential to find peace inside and to experience the true self is innate in every human being, it cannot become the commodity of any business and cannot be paid for. Shri Mataji states “We cannot pay for our spiritual evolution.” Sahaja Yoga sessions are free.

How can it be free?

People who have experienced its benefit show others how to meditate. It’s that simple. Whether in the public, community and business sectors, Sahaja Yoga meditation is available without cost. The programmes are open for the general public and schools, universities, hospitals, community centres, immigration detention centres and corporations.

Our weekly sessions can help you experience the true state of meditation. You will also learn how to meditate at home and how to remain in balance. The techniques are easy to learn and practice. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome, No prior knowledge is necessary, everything is explained.

The Founder of Sahaja Meditation

In 1970, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi developed the Sahaja Meditation technique with the belief that unlocking one's Inner Energy and achieving Self Realization through Thoughtless Awareness, should be attainable for all seeking it. Since then, she has traveled the world educating people and speaking about world peace. Shri Mataji has been awarded the United Nations Peace Medal, among others, for her achievements and teachings. She has also established a hospital, research facilities and an orphanage in her native India. Today, millions of people, adults and children, enjoy the benefits of Sahaja Meditation in over 130 countries all around the world.
