RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS We welcome all unbaptized individuals, friends, family members and neighbors who are not Roman Catholic Christians or those individuals within the Catholic Tradition who may have never received the
Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist or Confirmation to participate in our parish program for adult Christian Initiation at this time. This program is also ideal for baptized Christians of other Christian denominations who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. If you know of someone who may wish to experience the richness of our Catholic Faith and who desires to participate fully in the sacramental life of the Church, please contact Barbara Bunag at 732-257-7722. MATRIMONY
The Sacrament of Matrimony requires an extensive period of preparation. Contact must be made with

January 18, 2020 Dear Parents and Guardians and Parishioners, Our second grade students received the Sacrament of Reconcili-ation on Wednesday. Thank you, Mrs. Maligranda and Miss DeFeo, for preparing our students so beautifully. Please keep our students in your prayers. School is closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Our eighth grade students will be traveling with the East Brunswick Jewish Center to the Holocaust Muse-um in Washington, D.C. They will also visit other memorials during this special day. The second marking period closes on January 24. Please check Power School and contact teachers with any questions or con-cerns. Catholic Schools Week begins with the 10:00 am Mass on Janu-ary 26. Students should dress in formal uniform for the Mass and will receive a dress down pass if they do so. An Open House follows beginning at 11:30 am and ending at 2:00 pm. Please plan to attend the Mass and spread the word about our wonderful Catholic education. There will be a Pancake Break-fast after the 8:00 and 10:00 am Masses. A second Open House will be held on Friday, January 31, from 9:30-10:30 am and 12:15-1:15 pm. Monday of Catholic Schools Week, students will participate in a Step-up Day where they will move up a grade for a class period to experience the next grade level. Tuesday of CSW is School Spirit Day. Students may dress down in green and gold and will attend the 8th Grade vs Faculty Volleyball Game. The Literacy Fair will be held on Wednesday of CSW beginning at 7:00 pm. Students in Pre-Kindergarten will have Favorite Fairy Tale Fun with me and Grades K-8 will be visited by authors/illustrators Danny and Kim Adlerman on Thursday. The Adlermans’ books are available for purchase. Please see the communication envelope. On Friday, please join us for school Mass at 8:30 am and Open House from 9:30-10:30 am and 12:15-1:15 pm. Please invite friends who may be inter-ested in our school to the Open Houses. Family Fun Night will be held on Friday and Candlemas will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday. There are many reasons for choosing an education at St. Bar-tholomew School, where we provide a safe and welcoming en-vironment that combines Catholic faith and teachings with aca-demic excellence. I am especially grateful to you for choosing our wonderful school and to our faculty and staff who are dedi-cated, caring, and effective in order to ensure the best possible education for our students. Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself. Martin Luther King Jr. God bless you, Mrs. Ann Wierzbicki, R.N., M.A.E./Ed.S. Principal
