    Ozanam Men’s Shelter Project

This holiday season, we are once again collecting new clothing for the men at Ozanam Inn in New Brunswick. Ozanam Inn is a temporary homeless shelter run by Catholic Charities that currently hosts 40 men. Last year, St. Mary’s delivered more than 400 gifts to the men at the Inn. Help us continue this tradition by taking a tag from the tree in the Narthex. Place the unwrapped gift under the tree by noon on December 14. Thank you for your continued support of this worthy Christmas project.

    Raffle Tickets Now Available!

50/50 raffle tickets are now available for purchase after all Masses! Tickets are $100 each — and only 300 will be sold! Drawing will be held at our Murder Mystery Dinner on February 24th. Thank you for supporting our parish fundraiser this year. It’s going to be a “killer” night of mayhem and fun!

    Youth Group Meeting

Second Sunday is the youth ministry program of Wilson Memorial and St. Mary’s-Stony Hill. We meet on the second Sunday of each month. Our next meeting is Sunday, December 10th from 5-7 pm in the Parish Center. Come join us! Please note: the Youth Group has their own page on Facebook (watchungsecondsundays). Please check it out to have access to upcoming information and announcements regarding the program.

Thank you and may God bless you for your continued support of our parish!

Stewardship Reflection “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not

know when the time will come.” - Mk. 13:33

We all take things for granted. In particular, we take time for granted. Our lives are so busy, many of us are planning our time - our days, weeks, months, even years in advance. Remember, our time on earth is a gift. None of us knows how long we will be here. Start today and begin thanking God for each and every day. Take time in silence, every day, and listen to what God is saying to you.

    Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

On Friday, December 8th, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, which refers to the Blessed Virgin Mary being free from original sin from the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. Mass times for the holy day of obligation are:

Dec. 7th Dec. 8th Vigil Mass Masses

    7:30 pm 7:00 am 12:10 pm 7:30 pm

    St. Mary’s Christmas Concert

December 16, 2017 Save the date for our Christmas Concert to be held on Saturday, December 16th at 7:00 p.m. Come refresh your spirit with beautiful music honoring the birth of our Savior! The concert will be held in the church, refreshments following in the Narthex.

    Remember in Prayer

We offer our sincere sympathy to the families of Nello Cozzini, Robert Coghan and Jean Zanengo, who died recently. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in God’s peace.

    Office for Persons with Disabilities

The Diocese of Metuchen Office for Persons with Disabilities will host its 2017 Christmas Party for children and young adults with disabilities on Saturday, Dec. 16th, 1:30-3:30 pm at St. John Neumann Pastoral Center. If you, or someone you know, would like to participate, please contact the Office for Persons with Disabilities at 732-765-6432 or [email protected].

    Happy Birthday, Msgr. Prus!

    Sharing the Gospel

When you play on a baseball team, you learn how to pay attention. Your coach reminds you and your teammates to stay ready. You learn to watch the ball. Those are good lessons to learn, because Jesus wants you to pay attention, too. Keep your eyes and your mind on Jesus, so you're ready when he comes.
