STEWARDSHIP

Stewardship Sharing “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:25) Jesus uses tough language that we may not want to hear. But, Stewards are all called to be generous with all our gifts. Not just the ones we pick and choose, but all our gifts: our time in prayer to God, our talent in participating in parish ministries and our treasure supporting our local parish and other charities. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

EVENING OF PRAYER AND REPARATION TO OUR BLESSED MOTHER

Please join us in prayer to give praise and honor to our Blessed Mother, Mary on Tuesday, October 16h at 6:30PM at The Parish of All Saints

Church, Buck & Depot Streets in Millville, N.J. We implore Mary as our intercessor to the Trinity for healing of victims and families and to guide

and lead our priests and seminarians. The evening will include hymns to Mary, recitation of the Rosary with

meditations on the mysteries and corresponding passages from Scripture. There will be time for quiet reflection in front of Our Lord reposed in the

Tabernacle & the evening will conclude with the Litany of Prayer for Priests.

“Let us begin in earnest to work out our salvation, for no one will do it for us, since even he himself, who made us without ourselves, will not save

us without ourselves”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meetings
There will be a Confirmation, Parent & Candidate meeting Wednesday October 17, 2018 at 6:15PM in Sacred Heart
Church on Landis Ave. All young people preparing to receive the Sacrament of
Confirmation this coming year must make every attempt to attend with a parent. We will review how together we can
prepare to celebrate this beautiful Sacrament. Please plan to be there for at least 1 hour. The meeting will primarily be held
in the English language with small breaks in the Spanish language to help all of our families feel included and
welcomed. First Holy Eucharist Parent Meeting at OLP Church, October
24th at 7:00PM ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Altar Rosary Society The Altar Rosary Society will be praying the Rosary at
the Grotto on Wednesday, October 17th at 6:00pm. Concerning the Rosary, Our Lady herself said to Padre Pio: “With this
weapon you will win.” Convinced of the power of the Rosary, Padre Pio always held the rosary in his hands.
When his death was approaching, he recommended to his spiritual children by
saying: “Love Our Lady and make her loved.
Always recite the Rosary.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “PREPARING FOR JESUS”

St. Padre Pio Parish is currently engaged in the Catholic Strong Campaign for the Catholic Community of South Jersey. Our parish serves the spiritual needs of our parish family, by marking important milestones throughout our lives. We grow and flourish due to God’s blessings and the extraordinary sacrifices of our people. St. Mary’s School provides outstanding faith based educational opportunities for its students. Our religious education program continues to grow and our volunteer organizations are a visible reminder of a strong and vibrant parish. Padre Pio Parish is the spiritual home for over 1400 families. We come together as family in the celebration of the Eucharist, in prayer and in social activities. In 2018, we continue to celebrate a history rich in tradition and service to God and the community. As vital and active members of the Diocese of Camden, we participate in the Catholic Strong Campaign to provide resources needed to strengthen our parishes and schools. We are called to support our seminarians, retired priests and deacons, to grow educational opportunities and enhance the ever growing need for social services in our community. Our goal may seem high and our needs significant, but I am confident that the parishoners of St. Padre Pio Parish are prepared to lend their support to enable us to complete the visions of past generations and ensure the presence of this parish community in the lives of their children and grandchildren. Our parish will receive 70% of all funds raised up to our target, and then 80% of funds raised thereafter. Our goal is $820,000.00. To date, we have received pledges and donations in the amount of $525,362.00/64.7%. Thank you for your support. Your prayers, generosity and sacrifice will ensure our success.
