This study is a collection of 21 short devotions, which ask compelling questions like “Do I thank God I’m not like others?” Questions like this will engage all aspects of your life and your relationship with God and others. Pastor Les’s sermons will revolve around these questions. Books are available after each service or in the office. Cost is $11 & checks, with Wesley Challenge in the memo line, can be placed in Susan Ryder’s mailbox or in the offering. Thank you all for being so flexible as we continue to reopen the church. This doesn’t mean we are back to church as ‘normal.” If there is an out-break, we will need to close the church again. No rsvp will be required for worship. If you have any questions please contact the church office [email protected] or 717-938-1928.
The CROP WALK is TODAY at 1 pm. You can sponsor a walker by placing a donation in the offering with ‘CROP/CWS’ in the memo!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!! On October 17th
we will be host-ing a Community Yard Sale from 8 am – Noon. Set up will begin at 6:30am. To reserve a space the size of a parking spot, contact the church office at 717-938-1928 or email [email protected] Vendors are welcome. Socially distanced spaces and masks are required of all sellers.
For the fifth year, we are collecting money for lice kits for the 2020-21 school year. Kits are provided to families who would not be able to afford them, allowing their children to return to school more quickly and thus not fall behind in their studies. We are part-nering with Rite Aid for a cost of $14/kit. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. Cash or checks made payable to FCSUMC with ‘lice kits’ in the memo can be placed in the offering plate by Sunday, October 11
th.
Notary services are needed for Safe Sanctuary clearances. If you are a notary and can help out please contact the church office at 717-938-1928 or [email protected]
Small Groups are Meeting this Fall! We can Connect and Grow, even during COVID, through Salem’s Small Groups. Groups are meet-ing in a variety of ways and studying a variety of topics. Contact Susan Ryder, Small Group Coordinator @ [email protected] or 717-938-1928 x116
Salem Cares—In order for us, as God’s people, to respond to your needs and the needs of others in our church family, it is important that you share when you or some-one you know at Salem are having surgery or
are facing a loss or other difficult life situation. Please share that information on the connection card. It is better for us to have the information from multiple messages than not at all. Thank you!
Not everyone is able to gather together with us in person just
yet and we all need each other!
Find creative ways to reach out
to your friends and loved ones
who still need to be cautious
during COVID. You’ll be so
glad you did (and so will they!)
